A fitting tribute to exturkinator

Sports teams wear the numbers of their fallen comrads, so can we.

I think that when I head afield this deer season with my trusty bow and arrow, I will be sporting an addition to my arrows. I think that I am going to get a silver sharpie and write EXTURKINATOR on my first arrow I fling this season. Not only as a tribute but to remind me that life isn't all hunting,......but God, family, friends, and something bigger than myself!

Excellent idea, there is some arrow wrap makers over at archerytalk.com. One makes a dozen for $8.00 and can do any design and color combo. Send them a picture and they work their magic. They do awesome work. I think they go by onestringer as a screen name.

I also say our Turkey Contest we have here gets renamed to the Dr. David "Exturkinator Ashburn Memorial Turkey hunt!! He was a turkey fanatic and its only right to honor our fallen member!!!

I like the arrow wrap ideas but please concider something that everyone could use. I have no use for wraps personally.
Joe, Hang out with Brian and myself a bit more and you will want wraps on your new carbon arrows for your new Drenalin. All kidding aside I would put a small green ribbon decal next to my thumb safety on my turkey gun. David would be with me on all of my turkey hunts.

". . if we could donate the money to the organ donor fund or other charity in his honor. . "

I love this idea. If you'd like, I can contact the Gift of Life program here at the University of Michigan Medical Center and get some info on money donation in his name. I was thinking about creating a camo hat with "Exturkinator" written on it and having it made in mass quantities to sell with profits going to whatever fund or charity most fitting. Any thoughts?

Whatever anyone does, I think the thoughtfulness of you guys is truly great. Hunters are some of the finest people I know.
