Been out the first 2 days and had the first day ruined by other hunters and heard nothing today. Lots of time left for me.

heard nothing, had some hunters come in above us and shot 2 toms off the limb about 20 minutes before fly down. Ruined the whole morning. Went back out today but got out there late, didn't hear anything, but did call in 3 hens. No big deal, get after them again in the morning.

Been there done that. I was washing my hands in the bathroom when a young fellow came in with 3 or 4 dvd's and started jamming them in his britches. I grabbed the kid and walked him to the customer service area and made him confess.LOL Should have see the look on his fathers face when he showed up. Im sure this young fella didn't feel so well. lol His father just smiled at me and said thankyou very much, I'll take care of it.

Its almost 4pm, 5 hours before dark and Im on my way out to do some scouting and roosting. I like to set up a natural blind for hunting these wiley birds. That's why Im going so early. No need to wait til morning to get set.

My bet is the first birds you set up on had hens with them, and the second set the hens took them away. Toms are reluctant to leave hens they already have to go seach for another. Keep at it sooner or later the hens will be sitting on their eggs and the toms will be lonesome. Try going after them at mid morning around 10am. Usually the hens go off to lay their eggs around then and the toms get lonely. Wigs

Pretty much what I expected from such an overbearing moron. Doesn't know squat about the position he has or the positions of the people he fired. Just wants to make sure he gets as many antis in there as possible. Good grief what will be next?!?

I wouldnt use the mesh with a shot gun. I have used blinds for turkey in the past and never the mesh. I prefer to set up natural blinds with material laying around where I am setting up though. Wigs

Not sure what good it will do since everyone needs gas to go to work, most will just get it the day before. Most folks use the same amount of gas every week to go to work and what not so if you skip getting gas one day, you just have to get it the next.

Sabres up 2-0 in an ugly game. Its bad news for the Rangers when they play nearly as good as they can, and the Sabres play terrible for 50 minutes and the Rangers still loose 3-2. Come on OTTOWA !

This is like Christmas for me. I love the draft. Time to get the coffee ready, some snacks put out and plank my but in a recliner for the day!

That's ok, I have been at it for 20 years and I make mistakes every year. And every year the birds teach me lessons that I have been tought over and over. But I always have a great time in the woods listening to ole tom gobble his head off at anything he hears. Keep at it and keep your chin up, it will come.
