  1. Well, I'm off to another shoot this weekend in South Carolina, its our 3rd circuit shoot of the year. I did better ont he score last weekend but still upset with myself for missing a target. That one totally jerked my pants down on the yardage, you'll tend to miss if you shoot a target for 31 yards and its 38. Anyway, I ended up with a 233 on a 25 target course and came in first. Will give an update after todays shoot. Good luck to all of you!
  2. Good question, I wonder if he shed that as well and grew it back each season. That would have to stink for him if it grew back under the skin everytime.
  3. It's a little hard to vote for someone that 99% of the members on this forum do not even know. Basically joining a very respective hunting forum website to ask for votes?:nono: Hang around for awhile and post up throughout the different rooms and I'm sure some votes might come your way. Welcome to the forums.
  4. If you've got enough slack in the fiber optic that exist now, you sure can do that.
  5. None of mine stay in the woods year round, it's too dangerous for the exact statements made above.
  6. Good luck Gary, the truth will set you free.
  7. That antler actually grew out of his eye, it wasn't broken off from a fight. Look closely and you can see the antler coming from a top of the eye and that is velvet hanging off the end. If I remember this right.
  8. I'm switching, that is unreal for a solid limb bowjax. My bows will be jaxed-up soon.
  9. Well, I did my first 3-D shoot of the year today. I ended up with a 221 on 25 targets, it wasn't the greatest but it was one tough bourse. We wore our 40 yard pin out from the back stack, it wasn't a course to make 8's with 12's and I proved that with only one 12. It was great to get out and shoot, we even got to shoot in 5" of snow to boot, lots of glare and cold. I've got another circuit shoot coming up over the next five weekends. Good luck to all of you.
  10. I"ve been with my brother when he has taken deer up in Ohio with them. They work very well on killing deer but it's just like all other broadheads out there. If you hit'em right, they'll fall in sight!
  11. I can buy three packs of Muzzy's for that price and have 18 heads. Don't think I'll be buying any Rages anytime soon.
  12. I'm 6' 2" and my wife (Rhonda) is pushing 5' 11". I'll have to get the tape measure out and see. She can reach heights over 6' when she does the 80's hair doo! LOL:D
  13. ST"s are great broadheads, my brother uses them in the 100 grain head. He's had great success with them and I like you'll like them, everyone seems to love how they fly right with their fieldtips on accuracy.
  14. At least you didn't have it come through the windshield on you and your all right. It does look like you got a complete pass through on the hit, from chest to hind quarters! :poke: My brother in-law is taking up deer hunting this fall, he has hit two deer with his new Tundra! He says its war on deer coming this fall around his house. I'm just glad that I will be participating in this war!:2guns:
  15. Quest is the new name for the bow from G5, since ROSS and G5 aren't making bows together anymore. The design of the roller guides and cams are new of course, if you keep up with things like that; in order stay up with the competition. Agreed, ROSS is owned by BowTech now.
  16. They are the old ROSS bows, I own three of them (ROSS) and are great shooters.
  17. I've got a Gerber multi-blade knife I've had for over 20 years. It's got three different blades, gut hook blade, skinning blade, and saw blade. This knife has cut up, skinned, and caped a bunch of deer over the last two decades. My brother made the comment this year at hunting camp in Ohio that I've change or upgraded everything I've got except that knife. I love this knife and will not change it, unless it breaks or heaven forbid I lose it.
  18. We are going to have to the start an "Own More Bone" Brotherhood! LOL
  19. It's mandantory here in NC (not during archery season) and most states surrounding us during gun season. Personally I think it's a good thing in reducing the amount of accidental shootings.
  20. Maybe it's because his ego will not fit into the camera lens. Dude, its obvious your a good hunter and your son has followed suite but you can't hold or call out others of what got, because of an oppertunity they received. If its fame that you want, then put more time in advertising your skills than spending them in the woods. I know some guys that consistantly kill trophy game animals and have no animosity towards pro-hunters/staffers. Enjoy your hunts and quit aiming at others hunters, we've got enough people out there that don't hunt doing this.
  21. Nice trophy for this guy and that's all it'll be is a trophy for him. High fenced kill, that's just a great advertisement for the ranch.
  22. Got a new state lined up for next year and working on the the same spots I have been hunting.
  23. Yeah, and he'll have to give up his signature as well.:stupid:
  24. My first shoot is put on the back burner this weekend, the rain has moved in and it sucks. Kyle, you'll get them next time.
