  1. Nice bucks, bummer they had to get found that way instead being harvested. I found two full heads this season, not quit as nice as those but respectible.
  2. The way I look at it, is if they are spending that money on new bows every year. Then I get one heck of a deal on a new used bow myself. Last year in February, I picked up there 2007 ROSS at a substantially low cost. These bows were in mint condition and I have to admit they were being sold as well because of the ROSS/G5 ordeal but they were upgrading as well. These bows will last me for the next 5-10 years or whenever I feel like upgrading. I don't need the 300+ fps bows, 287 fps will kill a deer just as dead as those and hasn't let me down yet.
  3. I have got to go to Charlotte on April 25 th for a couple of DANTES test. I propose we try and set this date as one to meet at Bass Pro Shops in Concord. We've got all the stores and eateries at our fingertips. I would say trying to meet about 4 or 5 that evening and go from threre. I just picked that time because I don't know how long these test are going to take but I'm hoping they'll be done way before then. Any other suggestions?
  4. I don't know, but that would be cool to go to. We need to get more feed back from others if this is going to happen.
  5. It would really hae to be big for a 287 typical, Tink. That is what gave it away right off if anyone has ever followed this deer. Good try!
  6. I think we need to pick a date and a place, then do it. I'm up for meeting at Bass Pro Shop in Charlotte or Gander Mountain in Greensboro, either is fine with me and anyone that is close to those locations are more than welcome to join us. Hey will, I have been driving through J.C. the last 5 weeks going to Va. I wish I would have known, this is my last week here in Va.
  7. Don't count those chickens before they hatch on killing something, I don't have a problem doing tight groups either. You throw in ADRENALINE and it's a whole new ball game. That is a great group you shot there and we are all proud of you, so keep you the great work! Just use a 30 foot tape measure to mark off you yardage, it's a heck of a lot cheaper than a range finder.
  8. Man that is great! I'd frame that picture, I've got one of me and Hammer when shooting his first bow at the age of 2. Priceless!
  9. Great broadhead, I tried one a buck a couple of years ago. Popped him at 17 yards and watched him do the face slide about 50 yards later. That is the only other broadhead I have killed a deer with besides a Muzzy.
  10. Another question is Chris:confused:, am I going to have to come by an pick you since you can't drive yet?:D:D:D:p
  11. Maybe I'll get there but could be another 9 years the rate I'm going. I'm on here alot but not into the numbers thing myself.
  12. When and where you thinking? I'd go as far as Greensboro, that is 3 hours from me.
  13. Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha!!!!!!!!!!! That is a good one, he must be a politian!
  14. That is a big ole nic'un! Congrats! Beautfiul mount as well.
  15. I just got this one about a month and half ago at a gun shop in SC. It was on the used gun rack just screaming for me to buy it, it's a Ruger M77/22. I've always wanted a 22 Hornet and a Ruger M77 rifle, so I got the best of both worlds.
  16. You can pick up a cam off of Archerytalk.com for a pretty reasonable price and get your groups tightened up. Like tedicast said, your draw length is the key to you shooting well. If you get out of good shooting form then your fighting a losing battle.
  17. I'm taking my 22 Hornet to Va with me this week, those guys are thick as ticks up there and got permission to hunt on 400 acres.
  18. Squal-tek is wonderful and quiet. JMHO It's what I use and comes in RT APG.
  19. I would have mounted him at the least in a Euro mount, looks like he'd go around 138 to 144. Man, that's a great 8 point! Congrats!
  20. Check out your regulations, they will tell you.
  21. 44%, pretty dang bad for me. Should have been salt water fish, I'd do better on that. Some of these names I've never heard of before.
