I've got one tree brella and getting ready to order the super mag by buckwing. Besides some good rain gear you can't beat a tree brella for hunting.

Been there done that, usually on the first hunt or two of the season! LOL Stupid Hurts in many different ways! LMBO J/K I'd give it up if I didn't get that sudden rush of blood to my head when I hear crunch crunch in the leaves.

It's still a bit early to start tickling any antlers just yet, give them about two more weeks.

Awesome, tell him congrats and it looks like the little miss is ready to skin with the gloves on! LOL

Wow! Awesome buck and Congratulations!
-
One word! AWESOME! Congrats on a beautiful buck!

I don't think you be disappointed with them! 32 of the 33 deer I've taken with a bow has been with a Muzzy. The only other head I've killed a deer with has been the Tekan II last year, just tried it out to see how well it would do. The deer only ran about 50 yards and piled up however I wasn't to impressed with the entry hole, would have made for a small blood trail. I know, I know, the deer went down within 50 yards but what if it was a marginal, but fatal, shot and the deer went over 200 yards with this small entry hole. I like the same size hole going in as coming out. JMHO

Congrats on the buck, very nice! I'd have to say he'll go around 110" to 120". Great buck just not a lot of tine length to get him into the books.

Being seen I hunt with all white vanes, I have never been busted due to the color of my vanes. White would be a color they could see or focus in on since it's their alarm color, I'm over here color, and the color they are more prone to see. I have my arrows in a hip quiver and spread out like a big ole fan tail, so I agree with Tom and wtnhunt you just got busted for standing out in an area she was used to not seeing anything.

I with Tony, I can't go my yardages enough in my mind before a shot opportunity comes about. I hunted five different stand locations opening week and knew every tree or stump as a yard post for when a deer came out. My range finders didn't need to cme again. No books or anything, I screwed up two seasons ago trying to get cute and take pictures of the great fall colors. I if I had the angle of the camera down about four more feet I would have seen the deer standing there looking at me and she would have been in the frame as well. Needless to say she blew the woods up! LOL I also try and picture every shot angle I can or will take, constantly run the "What If" through my head.

What a week! It was great opening week here in NC and of course I forget to get any picutres of me with of the five deer I shot. Saw a lot of very small bucks and only one good shooter that stayed about 50 yards from me with no shot opportunity. It drives me nuts to have the smaller one stand at every shot opportunity angle. LOL Oh well that is bowhunting and why I love it so. Good luck to all of you and to my team mates I will take some picture with me in them when I go on my Ohio hunt! I'm here! Hello all! I hope everyone is doing well and ready to hunt, looks like we've got a great team this year. I however have screwed up and didn't get any pictures of me and the deer I've taken. I didn't score on any bucks but killed five Doe's opening week of bow season here in NC. I've got antoher hunt coming up in Ohio, so I will be sure and take some hero shots this time. Sorry folks, my bad! Good luck to all of you and be safe out there!

I guess I'll be getting mine in November again.

I don't know about the glue being the whole problem. If you had more than one fletching come off during shooting and one just faling off on the ride home. It sounds more like to me that the guy who did your arrows didn't follow through on prepping the arrows correctly. Glue is glue and most of them out there are compatible with aluminum arrows. I use Fletch-tite glue on both aluminum and graphite shafts with blazers and don't have no problems with them coming off. I think I'd ask this guy what process he uses in prepping the shafts? Or maybe even getting another Pro Shop to re-fletch them for you. JMO

Tried them out last year and they did great! I'm a Muzzy fan and will not switch but I did take a deer last year with them (Tekan II) and watch it fall within sight. I shoot 75 grain Muzzy's, I screwed these(Tekan II) heads on and they flew great and had no adjustments to make on my pins even out to 40 yards. I couldn't tell you about field tips because I don't shoot them on my hunting bows, but I suppose they'd fly just the same if your bow is in tune. If I ever switch to a mechanical head these will definitely be the ones I go to.

It will also depends on the style of rest your are using, if your using a two prong rest with little clearance. You will want to go with a straight fletch for clearance. I've been shooting straight fletch for years with fixed blade heads and with great success, I just switched to 2" blazers last season with awesome arrow flight.

The mass always looks big with velvet on the antlers so that is deceiving as well. He is an awesome looking buck with a great spread, tine length is a little short, but I figuring he'll go around the mid 130's. I forone wouldn't pass him up! LOL Good luck to you on getting that dude! -
I've got one ready from last season that has gone through 5 deer. I recovered 4 of the 5 and still sick to this days about the 5th. I hit her through the liver and had no blood trail. I know she died and went to waste, bad on my part! Anyway, it's still the same arrow, trocar tip and ferral, I only change the blades. I do check all aspects of it out after it's air the lungs out and went into the ground, it gets the spin test and all.

Yeah, most of these guys are right there are no big deer in Ohio. If I was you I'd try the other states that were mentioned, beside Wayne National forest is covered up in coyotes and 4 wheelers running rampent! LOL Good luck on finding an area to hunt.

I've hunted with Muzzy's for year now and they have never failed me, so I'm kind of partial towards them. All experiments aside, any of the top selling heads as well as some of the lower line heads, will do the trick on just about anything you want to shoot. I'd recommend trying a couple or so out to see what best suites your set-up. JMHO I'd go with a Muzzy, they've never failed me and it's all about hitting them in the right place.

Awesome deer, now it's got me even more ready for bow season to get here! Congrat and great look'n mount!

I've got two Scott lil bitty goose's, I'd stick with the Scott if I was you.
