I still like the Packers but with Jennings hurt and 2 linemen going down yesterday I think they are a little more vulnerable now. One thing I have been saying all year about them is homefield in the playoffs might actually hurt them. Last year, being the 6th seed they got to travel around and play in domes for the playoffs. What if its 10 degrees with 30 mph winds and snow for one of those home playoff games?? Can they win the game running the ball? I dont think they can. And there are a few teams in the NFC that are much better equipped to play a physical, hard running, low scoring game.

Meyer is going to run the already weak Big 10 for as long as he is there. Great hire. BTW I called this over a year ago. That whole scandal getting exposed with Tressel and Pryor was to get Tressel run out of town so they could hire Meyer.

Does anyone know a thing or two about apple trees? Here is my problem We started hunting a new property a couple years ago and its loaded with apple and a few pear trees. I'd say there are 20-25 apple trees and 4 or 5 pear trees. Most of the apple trees are together and it basically turns into a deer zoo once the apples start hitting the ground. This will be our 3rd year hunting the property. Last year and the year prior there were apples everywhere from August through the end of deer season. All the sudden this year there is nothing on the trees! I remember in turkey season seeing lots of blossoms on the trees. However, when we went to put up our cams this weekend we found that there are 2 or 3 trees that have a few apples on them but most of them have none. The pear trees seem to be producing all right but the apples are not. I actually have a few apple trees in my backyard which is about 3 miles from this property and my trees are all loaded up with apples. So my question is what could be causing these trees to suddenly stop producing fruit? Is it common to have years like this? Can we expect apples next year?
