We just use soured corn, and sprinkle cherry, strawberry or grape kool-aid on top. You can add a little diesel to the corn to keep deer, coons and other critters from eating the corn, and it doesn't bother the hogs at all. They will eat it up.

Through out deer season I sat in my 4X4 box stand wishing I could see more of the area, and my stand had more room inside. So I started thinking of a new box stand design I wanted to use. So I thought of several different designs that would give me the best view of the area and comfort during a long day of sitting in the stand. Here is what I came up with, a 5'6" wide octagon box stand Framing the octagon frame Installed the plywood Painted the stand and installed the windows and corrugated roofing. On the inside I put carpet on the walls, added plexiglass fold down windows and a shelf.

I bought a gopro camera to play with and try to video some hunts. Here's a clip of my first time out with the camera. It didn't turn out as well as I hoped it would but I'm still learning. http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v463/jcwa/?action=view¤t=CoyotehuntMarch12012.mp4

I was out riding around a few weeks ago and came across this deer stand and thought it was a little funny. Redneck engineering at it best.

I hunted Saturday morning, I had a small buck and three doe's come in but I could not draw back with out one of them seeing me. Just as I started to draw on one of the doe's she turned and cought me at half draw so I had to let the bow back down. She didn't spook but she knew something wasn't right and they all walked off.

I use the FOXPRO Fury.

The coons have been eatting my deer corn this year like its candy so it's time to relocate them to another place before they start tearing up my feeders.

Last week I took a coyote you can see in this post>>>>Another one bites the dust This week I called a few places with no luck. I walked back over to the same place I call the coyote up last week and setup the caller up wind about 20 yards from me on the fence line, after 8 minutes of calling with juvenile red fox distress, I spot a coyote on the edge of the tree line 100 yards away. I waited to see if it would come closer, I turned my caller down a little and he started heading for me. When he reached 75 yards I barked at him to stop him, I dropped him in his tracks. I switched over to coyote pup distress for 30 seconds and then back to juvenile red fox distress when another coyote popped out of the tree line 125 yards away. She started moving to my left going down wind when I shot her. So I doubled up this week.
