  1. It's been a while since I've been here, at least a few years. Almost 20 years ago (that makes me sound old lol), I came in here as an 18 year old, fresh out of high school, very little life experience out in the real world, single and all that. I definitely had more time here back then. Now, I'm 39, married with 5 kids (4 boys and recently welcome a daughter a few months ago). Life is definitely busier these days, with work, a side hustle, time with the wife, and the boys playing sports, and hunting season around the corner. The two oldest boys have went with me hunting and has taken interest in it. It's crazy how time flies. I know the forums have probably taken a hit due to social media platforms, but just thought I'd see who all still ventures here? Hope you all are well and good luck this hunting season! -J

    The "S" word

Freeze warning here and I hear it spit snow up by Cedar Point. And it starts... lol
  3. Hey guys work was pretty busy this week. I'm gonna set up the league this weekend. Is everyone cool with yahoo?
  4. Alright guys sounds good. I'll set it up when I get off work and will get your guys email addresses.
  5. Anyone here interested in doing a FF league? I'd be interested if anyone else would.
  6. A Christian Hunter's Devotions and Studies I think it's been a while since anyone has been on this thread, let alone for me. It's been super busy for me. I used to be a regular on here. I got married in 07 (I think I even posted on here a few hrs prior to the wedding lol) and then sadly 3 years later got a divorce. I was a Christian but during that difficult time, God really started working in my life. My life is definitely not perfect, but if not for the grace of God, I dunno where I'd be. I guess my scripture for anyone going thru a rough time is Psalm 71:20 "Though You have made me see troubles, many and bitter, You will restore my life again. From the depths of the earth You will again bring me up." Hope this helps someone.
  7. I come in here to check from time to time. Been extremely busy working a lot of OT and traveling. It's not as booming as it once was, not sure why, but usually this place gets more busier in the fall.
  8. Lifting him and you guys up in prayer, Chris.

    Hate my job

I hear ya guys. I used to pull a lot of OT at my job the last 2 years, but this year I'm barely getting any. I've pretty much ran through my vacation time allotted for the year, but I still have 8 days I'm planning on saving for later on. But it's mainly do to just management's attitude towards their employees. But I'm in the interview process of finding another job. So hopefully soon.
  10. I'm gonna go with the Giants. Eli has really stepped his game up and with WRs like Cruz and Hicks, and hopefully Manningham (if he decides to show up) it should be a good game.
  11. Aside from hunting and fishing, I like to lift, travel, watch and play sports, and as well play instruments and do some songwriting.
  12. I like watching Jesse Duplantis. He's hilarious. But other than that, not too many.
  13. Hey what's up guys. I'm Jaret. Been apart of the forums since 2001, when I was 18. I had a lot more time back then. Now I'm 28, work a lot as well going back to school. I check back in here every so often, but rarely Kyle or myself have to make any edits/deletes. I can't remember the last time we did haha.
  14. Haha got a lot of Ohio guys here. I'm from Columbus, but hunt south near vinton county. Also will probably do some Michigan hunting if work and school's not too heavy. Looking forward to the season!
  15. Haha I might have to join you in that man crush as well lol. I'm pumped for this weekend's game as well.
  16. Wow, my heart went out to ya but only for a little bit lol
  17. Dang, must be nice. We still got what seems like forever. Good luck to you guys up North!
  18. I remember when I went hunting with my Grandfather we'd always stop at Bob Evan's to eat before heading down to our land. Nowadays it seems like I usually just make a quick stop at the gas station to get a soda and a snickers to last me till after the hunt.
  19. I've heard of the show, but haven't seen it. But I did check out your video Joe, it does inspire me to wanna shoot a lot more and get some more guns lol. I'm gonna have to say this could be a chance of a lifetime. You could always hunt next year and with 100,000 you could take the year or 4 months off to do nothing but hunting the next year lol. But ultimately that is a decision you would have to make in the best interests of you and your family. Wish you the best.
  20. Yep, gonna have to go with the bucks. I'm with you, Muggs, kinda scary there is no experience at WR. Wonder if we'll rely more on the running game this year.
  21. I had more luck with the buck jam than anything else. Poured it in a small hole I digged by my spot and the deer just tore it up. Works better than most attractants I've used.
  22. I heard this sermon where the preacher talked about the Jefferson Bible named after the president, that he tore out which scriptures he didn't like. And this is kinda like what some modern churches and people for that matter are doing now. Accepting the scriptures that say "God is loving, and merciful" and that's true. But God also hates sin. You either accept all of it or none of it imo.
  23. Mine is usually around 86 a month with the iphone 3Gs. Unlimited text, free nights and weekends, data stuff and more. I might lower it since I have a ton of rollover minutes:
