  1. Congrats on the moose, will be looking forward to the pics and the story. I have struck out on everything, I even through an app in on Montana Moose, didn't expect to draw as I only had one point. Have AZ deer & SD deer left, then I have to decide what to do if they are both unsuccessful.

WOW!!! Congrats William & Christina, that is awesome!!!
  3. Anybody draw any tags for this season yet? My son drew a Unit 1 AZ late Elk tag, same one I had a few years ago. Looking forward to spending Thanksgiving in AZ this year. Hoping for a Colorado 3rd Season Deer hunt near Gunnison, depends on the creep should have enough at 13 points, still got a month and half till results on that. Kicking around applying for moose in Idaho again. Good luck to those of you applying.
  4. Nice, Congrats!!!! Lotto mass
  5. The 2019 application season has started. Wyoming regs are out Utah regs are out Arizona regs are out. Didn't post the links, but let me know if you want them and I will.
  6. Congrats on getting one down!!! It is addicting, that is for sure.
  7. Can't hardly believe it, but for the first time since 2008 I doesn't look like I will be going out of state to hunt. I have struck out on every application that I put in for my son & I. Hoytshooter09, did you do any good on your elk hunt?
  8. Buy a preference point now in Wyoming and then next year use it to go hunting. Unless you are just looking for a B&C trophy, antelope hunting is very doable on your own. Find a unit with accessible public land and go hunting. It is a blast, no need to get up super early, hunt all day, don't have to climb any mountains. I don't make it in here every day, but if you have some questions just ask and you will get answers soon.
  9. Good on you, Sir!!! And the youth hunts are awesome. I can't wait until I get the chance to do that again. Also you might want to check out the Texas Youth Hunting Program linked below. I took Jake on many of those, some are management type hunts, some are for some nice trophys http://www.tyhp.org/?print=true
  10. 2018 booklet is out there and the website is open for applications
  11. I'm guilty. I applied for points for antelope and moose for my son and I, since there was practically no additional cost. I imagine it won't be too long 2 -3 years, that they will raise the cost of applying after getting people suckered in. There will definitely be more point creep.
  12. Congrats Corey. Get you a big one.
  13. I put in for 3rd season deer in Unit 67 with 12 points, didn't really think I would have a chance based on last years numbers. Turns out I did have a chance, at my point level there were 7 applications and 1 tag. I didn't get it, but at least I have almost caught up with the creep. So far, I have struck out on everything, only apps still out or pending are AZ deer, SD & TX. I tried moose in Idaho, but got rejected there also. Tried just about everything in NM and got rejected. Same for Nevada & Utah. May have to go back to Canada with Snapper.
  14. That's surprising, I had heard good things about Matador. Getting close (a few months) to get to do it all over again.
  15. Dawg, Any luck on your Matador hunt? Did you see any good bucks?
