Re: Bolt Guys--Gear Heads Too Hey, just put any kind that will fit, for the time being in there, if it is not strong enough, you will find out pretty quick and if that doesn't happen, then you know that it was strong enough. DO NOT TRY TO USE THAT AS AN EXCUSE FOR NOT GETTING YOUR WORK DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Dale JR??? If you stop and think about it, a lot of the problems this season don't have anything to do with the new crew or cars, i.e. pit road speeding, & causing accidents. That hurt him real bad in two races, in the third bad race, the problems were due to flats, which may or may not have been crew/crew chief related. So, in reality, Jr. has had a lot more to do with his bad fortune so far this year, than his new crew has. While I would like to see him running an RCR car, don't expect it to happen anytime soon. At least not on a full time Cup schedule, anyways.

Just heard it on the radio. Famed attorney Johnny Cochran has died, reports MSNBC. Cochran's most-noted case was his defense of O.J. Simpson when the former football star and actor was accused of murdering his wife. Simpson was found not guilty. Cochran had suffered from a brain tumor. He was 67 years old

New Quake Strikes Indonesia 8.2-Magnitude Earthquake Reported Off Indonesian Island POSTED: 10:51 am CST March 28, 2005 UPDATED: 12:27 pm CST March 28, 2005 BANDA ACEH, Indonesia -- There's been another large earthquake off the coast of Indonesia -- three months after the quake and tsunami that killed more than 174,000 people in the region. A relief worker in Indonesia said people "are running for higher ground." Witnesses said thousands of people poured into Banda Aceh's streets after a powerful quake jolted the island of Sumatra. The region was hammered by a powerful tsunami after the monster earthquake back in December. The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake in the Andaman Sea registered a preliminary magnitude 8.2. Japanese monitors measured it at magnitude 8.5. In Thailand, officials are warning residents of southern provinces to prepare for a possible tsunami. The December quake -- with a magnitude of 9.0 -- was the world's biggest in 40 years. It sent killer waves charging across the Indian Ocean at the speed of a passenger jet. In addition to those killed, more than 100,000 others are still missing from the December quake, and 1.5 million were left homeless. Experts are calling Monday's quake an aftershock to the December quake. The National Earthquake Information Center in Golden, Colo., said the temblor hit at 11:09 a.m. EST. There are no reports of damage or casualties so far, but officials in Colorado said the quake may have resulted in substantial damage, injuries and/or loss of life because of its location and size.

Small victory for Hendrick. Suspensions overturned
texastrophies replied to slugshooter's topic in NASCAR and Sports
Re: Small victory for Hendrick. Suspensions overturned I think if they take points away from one driver, they should divide those points and give them to the remaining drivers (i.e. 25 point fine, the remaining 42 drivers in the top 43 should each get .5952 points) I think both Snapper and Chrud have expressed my views. -
Re: RTF Racing wild card. RTF, is there any way you could post the weekly scores, also?

Re: Quad/Wheeler Discussion [ QUOTE ] What's everyone think? What does everyone drive? Any pictures? I know there are a few mudders in here! [/ QUOTE ] Did somebody call me????????? I have a Kawasaki Prairie 400 (partially shown above) and a Prairie 650. The 650 has awesome power, but I can usually do just about as good with the 400 in the mud, and it just loves the water. A couple of weeks ago, I rode with 2 new Polaris 800 (760 cc's) and was impressed with the power they had. Still got to pull them out a couple of times tho.

Gabriel came to the Lord and said, "I have to talk to you. We have some Texans up here who are causing problems. They're swinging on the pearly gates, my horn is missing, barbecue sauce is all over their robes, their dogs are riding in the chariots, and they're wearing baseball caps and cowboy hats instead of their halos. They refuse to keep the stairway to heaven clean. There are watermelon seeds and chicken wing bones all over the place. Some of them are walking around with just one wing." The Lord said, "Texans are Texans, Gabriel. Heaven is Home to all my children. If you want to know about real problems, call the Devil." The Devil answered the phone, "Hello? Hold on a minute." The Devil returned to the phone, "O.K., I'm back. What can I do for you?" Gabriel replied, "I just want to know what kind of problems you're having down there." The Devil said, "Hold on again. I need to check on something." After about 5 minutes the Devil returned to the phone and said, "I'm back. Now what was the question?" Gabriel said, "What kind of problems are you having down there?" The Devil said, "Man, I don't believe this....Hold on." This time the Devil was gone 15 minutes. The Devil returned and said, "I'm sorry Gabriel, I can't talk right now. Those Texans have put out the fire and are trying to install air conditioning."

Re: Marty Smith is a genious. [ QUOTE ] So how can NASCAR justify penalizing someone for a mechanical failure that was out of their or anyone's control. They didn't break the rules, the bolt broke the rules. Penalize the bolt. [/ QUOTE ] When you have a mechanical failure that just happens to increase performance, then yes it should be penalized, or else it would be "accidentally" happening every race. I don't think an inanimate item such as a bolt can break or obey rules, heck they probably can't even comprehend what the word rule means.

The Law Has Been Laid Down to Hendrick/Childress

Re: The Law Has Been Laid Down to Hendrick/Childress I agree they all try to get away with something and most probably do. Of course, we don't hear about something that they didn't get caught or cought at. But I think NASCAR needs to get a more uniform method of handing out punishments/fines etc. -

Re: The Law Has Been Laid Down to Hendrick/Childress [ QUOTE ] 50 points???? little high there don't you think ???did they take 25 from jr last year when he got caught with an illegal intake on his car??? (thats right illegal). which happens to carry a stiffer fine than a unaproved one. [/ QUOTE ] Uhhhh NO. Jr. was penalized points twice last year, 25 each time, once for a slip of the wheel and once for a slip of the tongue. -
Re: What is your biggest wild boar I have shot a couple that were bigger than this one, but this is the only one that I have actually weighed and it came in at 100#'s exactly

The Law Has Been Laid Down to Hendrick/Childress
texastrophies replied to Chrud's topic in NASCAR and Sports
Re: The Law Has Been Laid Down to Hendrick/Childress You beat me to it. Sounds like NASCAR is starting to realize that money alone was not working. For the most part I agree with the penalties, but I do kind of question Harvick getting points deducted, seems to me he was already penalized by being sent to the back of the field. Double jeopardy? -
Re: 48 5 cought cheating [ QUOTE ] The cars passed pre-race inspection, the cars were impounded after qualifying to limit the amount of work done on them. [/ QUOTE ] Not at this race, they had both a second practice and a happy hour after qualifying, allowing the Hendricks teams plenty of time to "adjust" there cars. A lot of talk about the 48 being to low, what about the 5 being to high? How do you explain that?

Re: Mobil 1 Oil I am now at a little over 205,000, for those that are counting, and I either change or get it change every 3 - 4 thousand miles with Castrol and Fram filter. It doesn't burn any more oil now than it did 3 years, 11 months and 16 days ago when it was new. 15 bucks a month for oil & filter is pretty cheap insurance. IMO

Re: Keep GW in your prayers if you would.... Hope you get to feeling better soon. Don't worry about the truck as long as you are ok that is all that matters. PS: Thanks for the update.
