  1. 22 miles........... 25 minutes
  2. YOWZER !!!!! Dandy bird !!!!!!
  3. Good stuff, Al !!! I use #1 and #3 quite regularly. Have also teamed up with some guys (and gals) using #4 and slammed some problem birds.
  4. A longer barrel will get you a bit more velocity. But it is a little heavier and less maneuverable in the woods. A shorter barrel is a whisker lighter and doesn't catch on as many limbs or saplings......but you do lose some fps. I have or have had turkey guns with barrels from 21"-30" plus the length of an extended choke tube. 24"-26" seems to be just about right for me. But the 21-incher and the 30-incher both killed a bunch of longbeards for me without so much as a hiccup. Sounds like you have got yourself a pretty sweet turkey hammer there !!
  5. Good lookin' bird, Al !!! CONGRATS !!!!!!!
  6. Congrats on a great bird !! Nice spurs !!!!!
  7. No.............. this one doesn't................unless he can dismantle the nation to the point of enacting martial law. But rest assured the next democrat candidate for prez will be every bit the commie this one is if not WORSE.
  8. The entire month of March, so far, and for the extended forecast for the rest of the month we are running 15 degrees below normal.
  9. Have had el cheapo BSA red dots on several turkey shotguns. Have lasted 9-10 years and still going strong. Not bad for a $19.95 piece of Chinese junk. They are a 3 MOA dot, I think. Good to great for turkeys. Probably not the best for precision shooting with a single projectile. Just snagged a new Weaver red dot for on top of a turkey gun this spring. It looks like it will be a DARNED NICE sight. Have yet to mount it. It DOES have a secret hiding place for an extra battery right on the sight. SOMEBODY was thinking !!!
  10. Forget about it. There is NOBODY on that list that can beat Santa Claus. The democrats will give away the farm for a vote. You have heard the old adage that if you "rob Peter to pay Paul" you can be assured of Paul's vote ?? Well............ the "Paul's" in this country now outnumber the "Peters" and the "Pauls" VOTE. As "Peters" , we are finished.
  11. The M&P will serve you well !!!

  13. You may absolutely enter your Osceola !! Actually........... as per contest rules............ that's the bird you NEED to enter as it was your first. Contest got a late start this year. But your bird was legally harvested and it absolutely counts so long as you got the pictures needed to register it.
  14. Lil Strut has smashed some heads with his 20 and a Comp-N-Choke XX-Full tube. It tosses patterns of #5 lead that make me scratch my head and wonder why I lug a 3.5" 12 gauge around the hills. DO NOT go with the Comp-N-Choke tube if you are going to use any HTL shot other than Winchester Elite.
  15. This thread is for the posting of the required photos for submission of your bird into the contest ONLY. Congrats posts, comments, and everything else needs to be in a separate post.
  16. Teams have been randomly picked and are now posted. Any entry to the signup thread will now be a first come-first serve list of alternates. Should 4 more members register in a short amount of time, I may consider forming a new team. Teams are FOUR MEMBERS. No new team will be created except as 4 new registrations pop up. GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE IN THE CONTEST !!!!!!!!!!! HUNT SAFELY !!!!!!!!!
