A friend of mine at work and i have been arguing the last week. The topic is whether or not Lee and Tiffany hunt in a high fence on there property in Iowa. He says there is no way they can shoot that many big bucks in one year off the same land. its just a friendly arguement... lookin for your thoughts?!?!?!?
I really hope that someone from the WDNR reads this. I saw 8 deer total between bow and gun season, 5 of which i saw on opening day of gun season.
The number of deer killed during the 9 day gun hunt was just less then 200K. The lowest number since like 1981 or something like that. How in the world can the DNR say that there are over a million deer around?? Plus the number of tags sold was average...upper 600 thousand??
I also heard the other day that a pack of 3 wolves can kill up to 100 deer a year!!! That is ALOT of deer.
i agree on boycotting the season next year. its almost not even worth going out anymore. it should go back to how it used to be. BUCK only with a draw for a doe tag. In unit 57B where i hunt...this year was not a earn a buck or a herd control but they still give us the option to buy a doe tag!?!? they should not give that option. AHHHH
Yes i am a little upset as well!!
i go "truck shopping" all the time!! i love lookin at trucks even though i cant afford to get a new one. but ya never know when you will find a good deal. there is a place is Fond Du Lac, WI called Lenz Truck Center, this place has over 400 trucks on the lot, most of them are modifided some how.
Just got home from a trip out to Wyoming. had a great time. My parents live out there only about an hour from yellowstone. went up in the big horn mountains for a day, saw lots of mule deer, and two big bull moose!! yellowstone is pretty sweet only saw some bison in there. i think im going to send in for a mulie tag next year.
i also have the tracers and there awesome. i would have lost two arrows if it wasnt for the lighted nocks. i have never had a problem with the light not turning on.
i got some of these tracer knocks last week. all i can say is i dont know why i waited so long to get them. I had changed a few things on my bow and added a new string loop, so i didnt know where my bow was going to shoot, but thank god i had them tracers. my first shot skipped off the back of the target and into the woods about 30yds, i never never would have found my arrow if i didnt have the tracer. i have since then shot them maybe 100 times and never once had a problem yet.
i cant wait to get on the ice. got trips planned to northern minnesota to fish perch on winnie and to iowa for bluegills!!!!! i cant wait had a blast in both places last year, not to mention all the fun here in wisconsin
i just got some dick cepek mud country tires on my f-150. i love them there awesome in the mud, quiet on the road but kinda expensive. paid almost $225 a tire after i got them put on. before these tires i had cooper discovery stt, i also liked those tires, very good in snow mud and everywhere else, not very loud on the road, i got about 60k miles on them.
anyone ever try this stuff? kinda expensive $50 for a 1oz bottle. i guy i work with just bought some and used it last night and had bucks all over him. just wondering on your thoughts??
well, i think that we (humans) can be blamed for some of the ozone. but your right its going to happen anyway so let it burn out!!!! i guess we can just enjoy the time that we have here.
