Hoyt Dorado

The Dorado is a sweet shooting bow...glad you're having fun with it. I fletch with a helical..as much twist as I can get on it. As for the Motec's..nice heads, very sturdy and strong but they can be a little tough to get a good edge on them. Once you do though, they seem to hold it very well. I mostly shoot Magnus Stingers. They're incredibly sharp right out of the package, they fly great, and they have a lifetime warranty. This year, I'll be shooting some old Bear 130gr Super Razorhead's

My go-to recurve is a TradTech 17" Titan aluminum riser. The limbs on it now are Samick BF Extreme mediums at 46# making a 60" bow. This is an ILF bow meaning I can shoot any limb from any manufacturer as long as it's ILF. I have 6 different sets of limbs that I can shoot on this riser, ranging from 20#-57#. I mostly shoot Easton Gamegetter 500's(2016's) but I do shoot some lightweight carbons(Easton Lightspeed 500's) off it too. I use an Alpine Soft-Loc quiver...either a 3-arrow or a 5-arrow...for hunting
7. These will be my hunting bows for this year. Top to bottom: 62" Howard Hill Ruffed Grouse, 48#@26.5"...64" Zebra War Eagle, 51#@26.5"...70" Zebra Grevy, 53#@26.5"(my favorite bow)...17" Titan ILF riser with 46# Samick BF Extreme medium recurve limbs
8. Big-bodied 6pt..2nd to the last day of the season. Got to my property at 12:00 noon on a Friday, was in my stand and shot him at 12:15 following a rub line. I used a 65# Jennings Sonic XL compound with 2216's tipped with a 140gr 4-blade Wasp Cam-Lok broadhead that busted thru both shoulders...dropped within 30yds
9. These will be on the hunting arrows this year. Proven design, scary sharp, fly great, and just plain cool
10. Whatever shoots best from your bow. I shoot mostly aluminum's off my recurves and longbows but I do shoot some carbons off a couple of my 'curves
11. LAS and 3Rivers will have everything you need as far as traditional archery. Also, the trad-only forums have classifieds and many sponsors that sell everything you'd need.
12. I recently picked up a set of ILF recurve limbs for one of my risers, a new longbow, and a doz. Easton Lightspeed 500 shafts
13. 1974. The 1st KISS album(still have it too)
14. These are awesome youth bows and they also trade-in program when they need to upgrade to a bigger bow Instock Youth Bows : St. Joe River Bows, We May Not Make the Most Bows but they are The Sexiest!
15. I'll shoot a 12-week DART league starting next month. I shoot the traditional class
