  1. And a very Merry Christmas to you and yours, Luke. Santa will be swooping around your neighborhood right about now.
  2. According to my calculations, Christmas has officially arrived at the east end of the continent. So a very Merry Christmas to you, Mike, and to all the other realtree bunch as well. Nice video, too!
  3. We have yet to break the year 2000 barrier; our kids all have newer vehicles than we do. 1997 Ford F250 Powerstroke - about 370,000km (210,000 mi +/-) 1999 Toyota Rav4....used 6 months of year for winter - about 205,000km (125,000mi +/-) 1999 Mazda Miata....used 6 months of year for summer - about 150,000km (90,000mi +/-)
  4. Wow, I turn my back for a minute and look what happens! Dandy buck, dosse. And we may have won the prestigious contest? Yay for the good guys!
  5. Ozarkgal, I'm sorry for the loss of that good man in your life. Activities like hunting really mean very little when put up against the really important things, like the relationships we forge as we go through life. As for your deer season, that's the way it goes. Next year we all get to try again. I hope you had as much fun as I did this year.

Some great highlights here, especially wtnhunt's baby. But mine is similar to several of the other ones posted. I took my granddaughter out for her first deer season and she got a beauty. It was the most awesome season ever - the preparation leading up to it as well as the final result.
  7. Hey crew. Happy new year to everyone. Any more good news on the hunting scene? Ozark, how's it shaping up there. Looks like almost everything is done except the shouting.
  8. Hey crew. I'm back in internet land, though it doesn't look as if much has happened recently. My hunting is done, as it seems to be for many others. Still got my fingeers creossed for those of you who are still at it.
  9. I'll be away from the computer for a few days. In the meantime, good luck to all still hunting. I expect to see more hanging on the pole when I return.
  10. Good going, snake! I like him. We have a great team; lots of guys still hunting and, it seems, with excellent potential to put something on the ground. Good luck boys. Oops dosse, we missed getting your nice buck as an upgrade in the most recent standings update. Unless I missed it, I didn't catch his score - how many points? He's a beaut.
  11. Good luck in the cold tomorrow mudrunner. Sourthen, that sounds like a plan; the last 45 minutes of light is often the best.
  12. Dosse, nicely done! That is a real honker! Give us the whole exciting story. Side note - he sure isn't going to hurt our team score either.
  13. Best of luck, Sourthen...we'll be waiting for pictures of a big'un.
  14. It's still Nov. 15 out here, so I didn't miss it. A very happy birthday to you, Luke. It was my daughter's yesterday, so mid November is prime in many ways.
  15. aujack, good job on the doe. Pictures? Good luck to both of you, MUDRUNNER and dosse.,
