Shot in my first IBO 3D WQ this past weekend. Shot a 290 4X and placed 4th in my class which consisted of 12 shooters total. I'm happy with it. Not too bad considering I hadn't really been shooting until the week prior to the shoot.

Been using my gator and an atv cultivator to break up ground for my food plot. Does a nice job but talk about rocks! Not little ones either! I'll have a rock fence by the time I'm done.

Been 5 years since I last tagged a turkey. Now that the semester is done, I can put more time in hunting. Have had a few encounters with turkeys, and the one pictured below was yesterday AM, was hung up in the middle of a field with his 2 hens, not my first encounter with him

Yes, that's my Mossberg 500 20 ga Bantam (or super bantam). I picked up a 20 ga rifled barrel for it online and it shoots the Hornady SSTs sabots very well. They are the only sabots I've used in it, haven't tried anything else because of how well they shoHey ot out of it and leave a decent blood trail.Use a Nikon Scope on it with adjustable power from 2-7, the barrel has the integral scope base on it.That deer was taken around 75 yards, the Hornady went clear through the deer. There have been a couple does as well I've shot about 60-70 yards and dropped them in their tracks. It was well worth the money for the barrel. Not sure how much they are going for now, I ordered it online, might have found it around $150??

Went to the archery shop the other day to shoot in the 3D league and they had a "used" but it was basically in almost new condition Axcel Armortech Pro sight for $100. I had been looking at them for my 3D bow. Needless to say scooped up that sight. Has the .10 pins, but they are bright and don't block out the target. A really good deal.

Have a Covert Illuminator and that thing can flash....no spooked deer, I did pick up an S600 homebrew whiteflash, can't wait to put it out.

If anyone is on Facebook and has the Realtree page liked, well it looks like maybe it got hacked. There was some not so nice stuff showing up in the news feed posted by Realtree. Wonder if Realtree is aware of this?

Shot 142 and 146 on Friday. Course set up a little more difficult, but few bad shots on my part. I need to shoot more routinely, work and school just interfere. 2 More weeks then it's the league banquet, Not sure of my standing.

My Mossberg super bantam 500 20 ga turkey gun shoots Federal and Winchester fairly well. May try the Winchester SX3 20 ga compact in the woods this spring.
