  1. Did you ever decide on a gun RangerClay? I shoot a Mossberg 500 20 ga Bantam...great gun....Want to get a 20 ga semi auto one of these days.
  2. I shoot Hornady SSTs out of my Mossberg 500 20 ga with rifled barrel.....it''s a deadly combo for me...I've had more deer drop on the spot then I've had to track. Shoot very well out of my shotgun....A good scope helps to.

  5. Needed a new camera, finally decided on one and ordered it, came today. Olympus SZ-16...had alot of great reviews...great price for all the features. Here's a few shots I took today,
  6. I've seen some good pics from Moultrie and some ok pics from Moultrie. Never had one myself. All I have now are 2 spypoints and 3 homebrews. Spypoint IR5 takes nice pics, the I6 I got sent back because it wasn't as good, they replaced it for free, pics are ok during day, night IR get some blur. Your moultrie takes some nice IR night shots.

  8. Struts got done...and they replaced the wrong bearing....but going back this week they are going to replace the correct one free of charge. Also having a hitch put on. Going to get a small trailer for doing hay...use to borrow someone's truck but they sold it.
  9. Sounds like a great season coming your way! We expect lots of pics!
  10. I've noticed more deer look at the IR than they do at my homebrew whiteflash....
  11. Just dropped it off today for the struts and maybe new bearing...hopefully it's all taken care of....
  12. LOL Strut! Well Tim maybe I'll finally meet ya face to face...maybe you'll get some cookies :-p
  13. It's got something like 83,000 on it. I've had it almost 2 years now. Has to go back end of next week for the struts and I'll have to tell them it's still making the loud humming sound....not sure if it's a tire, bearing, or the strut. Sounds like coming from front, decreases if I take a right turn..pretty loud under 60 mph.
  14. Frost did in our apple and fruit trees here. I like your idea of broadcasting the seed then mowing to cover the seed with mulch. Think that is what I'll try with my food plot because I want to plant forage oats end of august/beginning of September so I think I'll broadcast then mow over the existing crop.
  15. No need to upgrade anytime soon. Got my 2011 Elite Hunter for hunting and my 2013 Elite Hunter I'm re-configuring for 3D.
  16. Thankfully for the almost 2 years I've had my car, no real issues...until lately. Had problems with a rear tire rim getting warm and a burning/melting odor, also a hum when driving...kind was off and on since the winter then recently got worse, was waiting for a family member to look at it but finally took care of it myself. Took it to the shop, ended up having to get both rear calipers, rotors, and brakes replaced...And was informed my front struts are starting to leak. Will probably take it back next week for the struts. My inspection is due in August so better now. I have a Kia Sportage and it's a great vehicle otherwise...held up well to one deer collision last December.
  17. Great to hear from ya NBomb! Way to quiet here in the ladies forums...not sure if anyone else still around besides myself, lol
  18. Make sure to post up pics when you get it
  19. I guess it comes down to ethics...ethics can be very controversial and individually based. My ethics might be a little different than yours. Honestly, why I am not surprised she got attacked by the antis is considering a couple thoughts. Look at how the U.S. has portrayed African animals in the market - movies (Lion King for example), toys/stuffed animals. When people think of African animals, they think of how they are portrayed by society....I think of them as majestic amazing creatures, some may think cute, and in Africa they perhaps do view them as predator and game animals like we look at whitetail deer. Part of this has to do with education, culture, society. And then this was brought up not by me but someone at work who saw this...but how she presents herself, bear hugging the animals like they are stuffed animals...some people might view this as distasteful...She can do what she wants, that's fine, I am just trying to point out look at both sides of the picture. I am not into African big game hunting, that is just me, I have no interest or desire in hunting those animals, plain and simple. I am perfectly happy with the challenge of hunting whitetail and North American game. May not be a good answer for some of you but it's good for me. Have a little humility.
  20. I'm not trying to offend people here, like I said to each their own, we all are entitled to our own opinions. Nothing against predator management. I would support her as a female hunter, I just don't necessarily agree with the species of animals she is harvesting...it's just based on my views and opinion. If she's proud of her accomplishments, great. Me...I wouldn't do it. If I did and published myself like that, then yes I'd expect negative feedback from the antis....
  21. I'm sure it'll be crazy but I might try and go opening weekend...after all it's Cabela's,lol
