Re: Any luck in PA? In all there were 7 in our group hunting. I was not hunting bc I had filled my tags in archery I took a friend out. we saw around 30 deer only 1 buck it was a 10pt prob 120 class he was not able to get a shot but did end up taking a doe. there were 3 bucks taken and 1 coyote out of the 7 one buck was about a 130 8pt a 105 10pt and a broken rack 10 that will not score well. the gentlmen that shot the coyote is a true trophy hunter and passed on 2 130 class bucks early in the day. several other nice bucks were seen but none harvested. a few of them after a deer had already been taken ect.

"it sounds like its a 30/06 only its a bow" or something like that I am just having fun all bows will kill deer even hoyts I mean the indians used to do it with spears so with enough headache and practice I am sure you all can get that new hoyt line to shoot an arrow str8. Mathews man all the way. "catch us if you can"

I will make sure it a fully mature. as for the doe I would give you friend the meat seeing its going to be his only deer of the year. and man have you ever eaten the tenderloins off of a very young doe. if not you are truly in for one of Gods great giftle to us.

Re: deer skull my brother found a few days ago... I really don't think it is a 150 inch deer. I would say 140 is prob more realistic. but a heck of a 4pt.

Re: Kansas bucks I wish I had the opportunity to hunt out of state more. I go to WV. now and then and hunt Pa. Pa has some big bucks but you really have to work for them

neihbor just called me he has a pic of a 175+ with a drop tine in Pa within 500 yards of state game land I will try me best to get ahold of one and show you all but chances are I will not be able he shows them to me in confidence he like sto keep his big boys secret. good luck if you are one of the many hunters that hunt the ajoyning state land. although deep down having tagged out in archery I hope he makes it. 175 he said is being conservitive and trust me he know his deer. so it is prob real close to what he say.

Re: Camping out for Playstation 3? look at ebay I saw a Ps3 that sold for 3000 dollars for that type of investment I would consider camping for a day or so.

Re: Girlfriends first buck great buck I was going to guess 124 I think that is real close to what that buck is. but 125-130 is prob not a bad estimate.

Re: To be honest Its kinda sickening!!! its a business the realtree guys are great people. shooting monster bucks is how they make there living. whether they would be successful in Northern Maine is not really there problem. lets say your job was to be a farmer grow corn would you go to Alaska to do so. Most of these guys have expierienced hunting as the majority of us know they have not always been so fortunate to be Realtree. so they can relate to us. just be thiankful every day you can get out there and pursue any whitetail for they are truly awesome creatures whether it be a 50 or a 150

Re: Broadheads the force of the arrow coming to an ubrupt stop. can somtimes close the blades this is mistaken for blades not deploying often. check the exit hole if there was one this is a better measurnment of whether the blades deployed. not saying it could never happen. but I have never even had a mech come close to failing. I am a fan of the rubber bands rather then the locking blades. such as the Rocket line.

Re: Will he score 100 inchs I do not think he will quite hit 100 but score is sometimes looked at to closely that is a great buck and definately a trophy regardless of score. but if numbers are what you looking for I am saying 93-95

Re: Heard the Snort Wheeze Tonight About 3 weeks ago while walking back from my stand. it was at the point where you could see but very little. it was getting late. I had not seen a deer all evening. when I heard the ever familiar chase going on and they were coming rite at me. the doe was 60-70 yards in front of the buck. she saw me and spokked when the buck got to the point at which the doe spooked he was confused. I was crouched by the time the buck was in view preventing him from seeing me. I grunted with my mouth. He immediatly followed with a snort wheeze and started coming at me. at 10 yards I thought this mite not be a good idea. you always here the storys of the rut crazed buck attacking hunter. I stood up he spooked and that was that but what a neat thing to have happen.

Re: good news boys PA rut is on! haha actually you hit that on the head. the rut was starting to pick up early I actualyl shot my buck on the 30th then the following week was good from what I heard.. the last week was dead. probably rut surpressor like the weather. that cold front that I was reffereing to sunday fired it rite back up and I think even more so. that is why I stated it was in full swing. but you are correct there was rutting activity up until about the 5th then it died. I am sure its back to go now. should be dying down a little for the breeding phase soon.

LOL I would just like to taunt all you archery hunters but the rut at least in my part of the state is in full swing saturday was aweful but the cold front pushed through. so sunday morning I glass about a 30 acre overgrown field on the side of a hill. did not start glassing until around 10 and stayed for about an hour and a half. there were bucks everywhere. saw 12 different bucks not 5 min passed where there were not bucks in plain view.

Re: Meeting Mr. Michael Waddell! WOW that guy just touches someone and they shoot a 153. maybe if I just watch monster bucks enough times I could get even like a 130.
