Hey guys! Well, this year marks ten years that I've been hunting, and the last buck I took was in 2007. Needless to say, I didn't know if this year would be a good season or not. Opening day during a snowstorm, I got lucky enough to see my dream, monster buck, but had absolutely no time to get a shot off. He stopped for three seconds in the shooting lane, hot on a doe, and took off. I had hoped that he would come around again, but you just never know when they're rutting, coupled with the rarity of actually seeing a monster anyway. So today, this eight point came out all by himself, perfectly calm and just started eating. I knew he was a shooter as soon as he stepped out. He gave me a butt-view for a while, which gave me time to get my gun out the window, and finally, he turned broadside and looked up and I drilled him. He kicked, blood spurted everywhere, and I watched him crash thirty yards away. I double lunged him, and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect shot opportunity! Four years of waiting and some fresh snow finally did the trick Somehow, a setting got pressed on the phone camera and turned the black and white effect on.
