  14. flying today. I had ducks trying to land on me while putting out the decoys--I knew it was going to be a great day. Started shooting at 7am and had my limit of mallards by 7:15. Three drakes and two hens. Unfortunately I lost one of the drakes. I don't know where that boy went. I knocked it down and then gave it a finishing shot on the water--he dove--and I swear he never came back up. I walked around the pond (about 3 acres) twice and just couldn't find him. I could have shot another one but decided not too. I also had several woodies come into the decoys but didn't want to shoot them--I enjoy watching the woodies. good hunting todd

  21. Re: What a miss does to a BIG buck???? well that stinks! Hind sight is always 20-20 but I always make sure my rifle is dean on before deer season. I shoot it all the time but the evening before opening day I go shoot it a couple times to make sure the scope hasn't moved or i haven't bumped it or something--just a little insurance. Most deer are used to hearing gun shots all the time--hopefully he will be back. todd
  22. Re: my first european mount pics i think it looks great! you did a great job on it! todd
  23. Re: Got my mount back! very nice Heath--great lookin' buck! congrats todd
  24. Re: 25-06??? I love my .25-06. I have never shot anything with it that went more than 10 yards from where it was shot! That includes the 8 point I shot this year and about 15 hogs. It is an awesome shooting gun. I use the 120 grain core-lokts. I have shot 2 yotes with that round and they both dropped right where they were shot---not very forgiving on the pelts though--but I don't skin them anyway. My longest shot with it was 176 yards on a big hog and it dropped in its track. todd
