that's hard b/c their feeding habits and food change with the season. Fall winter I would say acorns are their favorite food. Hard to beat a fruit like persimmon also but I don't think persimmons are a main stay--kind of like a dessert. As far as a food plot if I had to plant one thing for cold season it would be wheat. In the spring it's hard to beat soybeans and cowpeas.

I try to plant my fall plots a minimum of 45 days before first average frost. If I was going to plant later then I'd plant rye grain as it is probably the most cold tolerant of the cereal grains.

I hunt small water--mainly ponds so don't get a lot of birds in early season. Hopefully the 2nd season will bring more birds down. Here are few pics of yesterday's hunt: morning: evening:

Well guys/gals. Tagged out yesterday with the rifle. I didn't notice that he had broken off both browtines but still a few points for the team. I'll still do some bowhunting but this was a tough few days. I saw very little deer movement---only saw one doe in 4 days of all day hunting. A button buck and a little spike. This was the only mature deer that I saw.

I took my annual week vacation starting tomorrow. I will be off the week of thanksgiving chasing the deer. I hope I can get us some points this week. todd

There is probably some truth to that since TT over the past 7 to 8 years has had one of the top passing QB and high QB ratings but not one of them has succeeded in the next level. I do believe their current QB will succeed. Okie St does run a semi type spread offense but their offense is based totally on the run.

i think it's going to be a long time before that matchup means a thing. Michigan is hurting really bad and I don't see a quick fix happening.

How long has your family owned the land? Is it possible this person may have had persmission to hunt the land before your families purchase? I would remove the stand and leave a baggie with a note nailed to the tree. The note would state that this is private property and you are trespassing. If you want your stand back then you can call for it. If your family has owned the land since last season then I'd have me a new stand!!!

No doubt that Florida is playing better ball now and the quarterback is showing up now but I really have a hard time with Florida playing for the national championship. If you have Texas--who has only lost one game to a top 5 team on the road, or Texas Tech (if they lose to ZeroU on the road), or ZeroU if they beat us in Stillwater---how can Florida have a case for being ahead of any 3 of these teams--Even if they beat Alabama. They loss to a very average team at home. I also feel this way about USC--even though their loss was on the road it was a team they should have beat easily.

how does an inmate have access to a claw hammer? prayers are on the way and hope both of them will be ok.
