  1. I've used the 100gr. Standards the past 2 seasons and they have worked excellent. This year I picked up a pack of Magnums though and I expect them to work as good. The GrizzTricks look wicked, might have to try them out next year!
  2. Great news! Just be sure to always go back for your check ups!!!!!! My grandfather had his prostate removed over 3 years ago due to cancer, and his psa level was 0 so all was fine. He never went back for a check up afterwards. A month ago his hips were killing him, so he finally went back to the doctor. Tests revealed a psa level of 14. The cancer was back and has now metastasized to his bones in that area. They were able to stop any future spreading with medication. Hopefully all will be well and if needed, radiation will be given to him to try and clear it up once again. But please, remember to go back and back to the doctor to get checked!
  3. It usually doesn't matter to me either, but for some reason I had a bad feeling about it Thursday. Friday morning, got to work, went underground, got to where we were gonna work for the day. I was cutting a plastic bucket to attach a handle, and all of a sudden the knife slipped through faster than expected and slashed my left hand. Had to get 5 stitches to close it up! The owl shift saw the blood on the ground and everywhere else and told the supervisors it looked like someone had shot a deer. It was a terrible day. Hopefully it'll be okay though, getting injured in the coal mines is a serious ordeal especially since I'm just a summer intern. We'll find out on Monday:(
  4. Starting tomorrow I'll be leaving at 5:30 am and getting home around 6 pm 5 days a week this summer, then once I get my underground mining certification that'll change to 6 days a week and then some
  5. Try and find an old used Geo Metro! A friend of mine decided to sell his, so I picked it up for $200! Everyone I know is jealous, especially when I tell them I get 45 MPG in the thing. Sure beats the 14 MPG I get in my fullsize Chevy, and it'll sure be nice here soon when I start my internship in the coal mines over an hour away!
  6. There are a few videos on the website showing how they work and how to make them work for you setup. http://www.starrflight.com
  7. Just wanted to add to this that I recently bought a pack of FOB's after reading what I did on the AT forums. I've only had a chance to shoot them a few times this weekend due to school, but I have to say this is an amazing product. My arrows fly like darts now, when they used to fishtail with blazers. I love the product Paul, and I can say that I'll def be ordering more when this pack of 12 is gone!
  8. Couture should wipe the octagon with Gonzaga. Gonzaga got lucky with CroCop. Mirko would've had him eventually if Gonzaga didn't land that nasty kick, only because Mirko thought he was going low with it. But my money is definately on Couture.
  9. Good lord........what a striper!!!!! I want to know just how long you fought him and how worn out you were after you got him in lol.
  10. As much as it sucks watching things in 4:3 on that TV, it's what you'll have to do with regular broadcasts. Just be careful with burn-in, it's still a problem with plasma's no matter how much TV salesmen tell you it's not, like myself lol. If you don't mind me asking, what brand is it and where did you buy it? Hopefully at Sears =P
  11. Yeah check eBay if you do any shopping on there. I've bought my last 3 phones off eBay and it's by far the best way to go, because you get an UNLOCKED phone which means it can be used for any service provider so you could easily sell it when it was time to upgrade again. Plus, you buy the phone outright and don't have to make any contract extensions or anything. They'll cost more on eBay than what your provider would probably give you, but the low price your provider gives you is only if you add other junk to your contract which means more $$$ out of your pocket!
  12. Very nice cat Gator! How much did that thing weigh in at? When it comes to eater cats, small channels are my favorite. The big muds are good too, for some reason the smaller muds always taste "mushy". I can't wait to get out after some of this heavy rain we've been having!
  13. That sounds like an awesome time! Those things put up a great fight!

    Catfish!

How's everybody been doing with the catfishing so far this year? We've been out quite a few times so far to a local river and haven't really done much, only a few small channel's and mud cats. Still trying to find some new spots to fish with deeper water and hopefully some deep holes.
  15. In the lakes around here, we do best with poppers and plugs for the Stripers. A Creek Chub "Striper Strike" is the popper we use, and a Cotton Cordell "Red Fin" is the plug we use. Make sure you get something with some size to it, and if possible use a baitcaster. Stripers get BIG and they fight like no other. I love the sound of those monsters popping the water at night to feed on shad, it sounds like a .22 going off! Oh and if you do happen to hear or see one bust the top to feed on shad, cast in that area as quickly as you can and more than likely one will bust at your lure.
