  1. It just isn't fair to do that to me!

    PA. Govenor

I heard him on the radio the other day and he said that the legislators didn't know who they were dealing with. He would get his way or else. Problem is that a bugdet could have been signed last week and he refused, sending it back for more of his pet projects (read taxes adn dfees). Passed last night so workers go back to work today with only one day of furlough. Not fair to them though.
  3. In the cities the voice commands are usually around 400 ft before a turn. On interstate highways about four tenths of a mile.
  4. Like I said, I have the Garmin 478 - it has accurate and timely turn by turn voice commands but is more than you said you wanted to spend because of the marine charting feature. The streets portion will be the same. Go to a retailer and check them out. Either the Lowrance I-Way or Garmin StreePilot will do a great job for what you are asking. They both have auto mounts - like with suction cups.
  5. Garmin Street Pilot - see link http://www.circuitcity.com/rpsm/oid/135398/rpem/ccd/jsp/pdt/pricePopup.jsp
  6. My grandson didn't say his first word until he was three. He'll be eight next month and he hasn't shut up since.

    Award

No he didn't shoot it. The cape is from my sil's archery buck last fall and he paired it with a set of antlers he bought. The mount now sits proudly on his showroom wall surrounded by awards.

    Award

My son won a couple of awards for the whitetail he entered in the Eastern Regional Competition at the MD Taxidermist's Association convention last month. One award was sponsored by the MTA and was for the best whitetail shoulder mount in the professional division. The other was from MD QDMA and was for the best open mouth whitetail entered.
  9. Check with MT FWP for the block management program. The other alternative is CMR - Charles M Russell National Wildlife Refuge. It's huge with lots of deer. Look them up on the web.
  10. I got a Garmin 478. It's got all north american streets in automotive mode and all coastal waters in marine mode with turn by turn guidance in highway mode. I must say that none of the units will be 100% accurate. Either maps need to be updated, or places that look like intersections on maps really are not. I paid $720 for the unit I bought though. Garmin, Lowrance have streets only units and I don't think you could go wrong with either. Go to a retailer and look at features. Check them out and buy what best suits you.
  11. I have a hand held unit and it works well - when the winds are calm. If it's breezy, you have to pray for high enough winds that the flying critters cant' get clearance for takeoff.
  12. Your question implies that all a landowner has to do is plant a food plot and then wait for a monster buck to show up. It doesn't work that way.
  13. I,ve got a versapod. Last trip to Montana my son forgot his Harris. It was pretty easy to switch back and forth between rifles with the versapod. Plus it swivels as said above. Plus it's a little less bulky than a Harris. Look them all over and see which you like best.
  14. I will probably get Lowe's gift cards so I can replenish the supplies that my kids and their families pilfer.
  15. Re: What\'s the biggest fish you\'ve ever caught??? Caught a big sow striper a couple of years ago in Chesapeake Bay. She broke a 40 lb scale.
