I recently acquired a dozen Gold Tip 5575 camo arrows, complete with quick spin fletchings.
All I had to do is get them cut down to the correct length and the inserts glued in them.
I called a buddy of mine and asked him if he would cut the arrows down for me, as well as install a new arrow rest that I bought during the off season.
Sure, no problem.
Well, it has been about 2 months since I have had my bow out and I got it down today and opened the case and immediately knew what that "sound" was my wife and I heard a couple weeks ago.
My beautiful Mathews bow, named Christie, was not in her normal curved position.
String has broken.
I didn't even look to see if the limbs were cracked, I just put the arrows and rest inside the case and closed it back up.
I HOPE all he has to do is the arrows, rest and string now.
Sure am glad if it had to happen it did it now instead of the night before opening day, or worse yet while I was shooting that massive buck.
