  1. Re: Hello from Scotland Welcome Richy I have heard good things about the Blair Atholl estate. Do you know anything about it? I have heard it is quite expensive.
  2. Re: European Cat eats Dog I like to catch catfish What color was the dog? Sorry, I should be ashamed of myself
  3. Re: Releases...how long until they break Been shooting a Fletchunter 14yrs and going strong. I have shot bows strung as high as 92 LBS with this release. I might get a Carter Two Shot later on though. It might be time If you are using a metal D-loop though I would worry about release wear.
  4. Re: Wasting of food by children at dinner time. Wasting food is bad. Eating more when you're full is fattening. I am not trying to be funny. Eating when you are full starts you down a path that is difficult to control. It is always easier to eat more and more. I know four people who have had gastric bypasses and they all can't believe how little food they need now. Don't let her put that much on her plate. That is the best way to start. Also striving to make just enough to feed everyone is harder than you think but pays off in the long run.
  5. Re: I Am A Turkey!!! I Have Spurs!!! I had one cut out of my left ankle when I was in high school. Yep they can hurt!!! Didn't stop me from playing basketball later on in school but if it had stayed there it surely would have.
  6. Re: Bear hunt ? ? ?\'s Big bears are tough critters to hunt. Many guys will shoot the first one they see and then tell everyone it was a 7ft 300lber. They reality of it is many of these folks are shooting the 1 1/2 yr old boars that weigh 150lbs. Before you believe anyone about the size of the bear they got at such and such place. Go see it or get a picture.
  7. Re: Tennessee Get together?? Not able to make it on those dates. But I will be there Norm. I will give you a holler
  8. Re: Anyone shooting without a kisser??? I would be more tempted to get rid of my peep than my kisser (Yeah I use both). In a hunting situation I know more than a few guys that forgot to look thru their peep. The anchor point is king.
  9. Re: Short arrow hunters, I just got off the phone Remember the straightness spec is based on a 28" arrow so the 0.006+/- arrows are 0.0055+/- at 26" long The shorter you cut them the straighter they are. Not that arrow straightness is nearly as critical with a drop away rest anyhow
  10. Re: New Martin Girl..She\'s HOT If the criteria for posting on this forum requires it must be related to bowhunting or realtree camo then why don't you delete the whole thread? I think the subject line was a dead give away it didn't qualify. The picture I posted was in context for this thread I am sorry if it offended anyone. Won't happen again.
  11. Re: thoughts on crossbow I have coined a word for this contraversy. It's called: NIMSS = Not In My Special Season Point being this would not even be an issue if their were no special seasons. How many of you would still bowhunt if you didn't have the season? Where I hunt rifle season is Aug 15th to Jan 1st with NO special Archery season. Yet I still bowhunt.

    Happy Groundhog Day

    Happy Groundhog Day!!!
  13. Re: Porkchops anyone???? I heard of folks killing big ferals like that in Argentina. In Florida I think they call them blue boars. These pigs have alot of domestic genetics but can be pure mean.
  14. Re: Stolen Treestand Don't be so quick to blame other hunters. Anti's will take a stand in a skinny minute.
  15. Re: Exploding Carbon Arrow...switch back to alumin This is a sad accident. Hope he recovers fully. The biggest difference is minor damage to aluminum arrows usually manifests itself as a bent arrow. If you shoot one of those damaged or bent aluminums I promise you it will POP. Carbons are always straight EVEN if they are slightly damaged. You should visually inspect them after ever shot. Flex them and listen after you remove each one from the target. Damaged arrows often make crackling sounds. Something to think about: Usually when it comes time to refletch an arrow, it has gotten that way because of a tight group. In my experience damage occurs to shafts that have been grouped tightly repeatedly and are in need of new fletching. Often they are damaged beyond keeping anyhow.
  16. Re: New Martin Girl..She\'s HOT That's right Tuff just add bow and Viola

    finally made it!

Re: finally made it! Still growing
  19. Re: the pics of my mounts from S.Africa Those are great looking mounts. Man was a nice Gemsbok. Who did you use for shipping and Taxidermy? That turn around was awesome fast. I have a friend who waited 13months just to get dipped and packed trophies to his taxidermist in the US. He will likely have to wait six more months to get his stuff. I hear shipment from RSA can be outrageous and cost more than the hunt if you use the wrong shipper. Did you air or sea freight the lot? Please, either respond here or PM me with any price and contact info you have.
  20. Re: Where Should I Move To?? Hmmm, I would have to say. Charleston SC Hands Down. NWTF originated in South Carolina for a reason Aug 1 to Jan 1 Deer season 1 buck per day (Gun) After Sept 15 thru Jan 1 you can use one of 4 doe tags per tag in aggregate with your alloted buck. Deer taken on antlerless days require no Tag!! Limiting out is impossible that's Ok for most folks though. The Quality Deer Management started in SC. Deepsea Fishing is another bonus. Snapper, Grouper, Mahi, Kings, tuna and Marlin. Plus the Giant Catfish of Santee Cooper Lakes are not far either. Shakespeare Rods are made in Columbia. Scout boats in Summerville, Sea Pro in Newberry. I think you'll be happy

    Doctor update

Re: Doctor update You can, and will, heal. But darn it, it takes a long time. There is alot of attitude in recovery as you know. I know you got it.
  25. Re: Regretful Proshop Owner One thing is certain. If you lack the capacity for forgiveness then you should not expect to receive it.
