Broadheads shoulder the blame for a lot of bowhunter mistakes unjustly. I'm not to saying there aren't some crappy heads of both mechanical and fixed variety out there, because I'm sure there are.
Bad shot placement, low FOC, underspined arrows, a poorly tuned bow, too light an arrow with not enough momentum are all things that can cause poor performance that the broadhead type has little to do with.
I know a guy that has had great success with Ramcats in Africa but I also know he has the above issues covered as well.
