well if youleave the scope and rings on that is a couple hundred bucks right there and if you sell the rifle itself for 200 or 250 that is roughly 450$$'s which is 100 bucks cheaper than a brand new gun, and the buyer wouldn't have to pay sales tax either.
  2. i have a 300wsm and a 25-06 love them both, but the 25-06 is miles away the more accurate of the 2. i can get 1.5 inch groups with my 300wsm at 100 yards with the 25-06 all the holes are touching. so in my opinion you can't go wrong with either.
  3. i used the diamond stone from montec and it gets my broadheads scary sharp. use a marker to mark the blades and to know ho9w much material you are taking off and when the marker is gone you are done. just make sure to use the same amount of strokes on each blade.
  4. i used the growl a couple times during the end of october (wife and i had a new baby and was going to miss the rut (she was born the week after rifle season after all was said and done a week late) and i had no luck with it at all. i had no deer come to it at all. i realize it is more of a rut call, but i saw a couple of bucks chasing a doe the day before so i thought i would give it a try. will try again this year before writing it off.
  5. i have a semi auto taurus in 45acp. and i love mine. just my personal preference i think they make a good gun.
  6. i think i saw one for 700 even. could be mistaken might have been in the high six's.
  7. i think in the north by the foodplot, cornfield and water. has all the things they need, plus there are trees for cover. but it also depends on if you can get to that spot without spooking deer.
  8. i have shot the truth and if i was in the market for a new bow it would definitely be at the top half of my list of bows to pick from. it was whisper quiet without a stabilizer on it pulled smooth and had plenty of zip. this is just my opinion. (i have always liked Bear bows eventhough i now shoot a Pearson)

    pin placement

i have my pins set to 20, 30, 40, and 50 yards. i bring a range finder with me and if it is a shot that is say 25 yards i split the difference between the 20 and 30 yards pin. works for me and as someone else said i am by no means an expert. and if your first pin is set to 20 yards you can cover most all ranges in from that.
  10. i have the old nova and my brother has the new super nova and both are great guns. you can't go wrong with benellis in my opinion.
  11. it went from 3.29 to 3.39-3.49 in places here in nebraska. i'm gonna have to get a part time job just to be able to afford my full time jjob if gas goes up much more. someone is gonna have to do something soon or there won't be enough cash to go around for the necessary items in life. big oil is sucking america dry in my opinion.
  12. i have a sig arms 9mm, and i have a taurus 45cal. (there 9mm look good to me) sorry no pictures of either one. but they are both very reliable and shoot well.
  13. i used them with a touch of solvent and then a bit of oil on the back, and thought i was doing a good job. but then one day i saw the copper build up near my muzzle and spent the next2 hours scrubbing every gun i had used a boresnake on. they are good for light cleaning but in my opinion you need to stick to patch brush and cleaning rod. i won't make that mistake again.
  14. hunter 36 i use the g5 montecs (the old ones) and they have blown through every deer i've shot at. from as far as thirty yards and as close as 10. it has been my experience that they fly almost as good as field points, and with very little work they are scary sharp. 9the old ones)
  15. i haven't used the rage i have used the g5. yes it isn't scary sharp out of the box, but i will live with the hassle of sharpening it up because they are so accurate. besides if you use your broadheads more than once you should be sharpening it anyhow
