I use a summit viper and love it. I hunt with a crossbow and love to rest the crossbow on the rail that wraps in front of you.

Hunted down at my farm in south east ohio last weekend and did not see one buck. Camera showed some nice ones but only at night. Almost like they are on lock down alittle early. Going back again this weekend hope the pattern changes. Anyone in Ohio seen any rut activity this week. Bucks here in Avon Lake are already locking down with a few hot does.

Perennial clover or annual? Which is best and what brand?

There is not any farming in our area. Deer live on acorns and just browsing. I think anything will be a magnet. I mainly just bow hunt october thru november. Was thinking turnips also for late season. Thanks for advice

Heard they will pass thru clover to get to something else. Is it that good? Never tried it before

I will be putting in a few 1/4 to 1/2 acre plots this year in southeast Ohio. Not sure exactly what the best thing to put in. Was going to do soybeans but keep reading they wont make it long, they will get eaten quick. Any advice would be great. Thanks, Jim

I am glad everyone is having the same problem I am having. Thought my farm was like a fished out pond. We have put in alot of days in the woods since Halloween and we have never had hunting like this. This year has very tough!!! Good luck to all of you. I might hold out for January with the cold and snow to try it again...

Just got back from Guernsey county and the action was very slow. I did not see a deer in 2 days. My buddy saw only a few small bucks. Can not explain what is going on, usually see lots of deer on my farm everytime we go. The acorn crop is out of control and I can not explain what is going on with this rut. We have been down there every week since Halloween and the bucks are dissapearing. Gonna try again this weekend, full moon is on its way. Anyone have any answers?

Just dont think its starting yet. It is not going to explode, think it will just be a slow rut with the does all coming in at different times. Got my fingers crossed headed to South East Ohio next Sunday fror a three day hunt.

We saw about 8 doe and they were all alone. Here in Avon Lake the bucks are tending the does. Not sure what the difference is. Only 140 miles north of my property. Hope its rockin next weekend.
