  1. pictures that is a pretty area you live in. Jack
  2. buck Toddybowman, One side has about an inch for a G5 and if you look on the other side the G5 is trying to come out. It would be interesting to see what he would be in a few years as a 12 pointer. I am guessing by the mass that he is a 3-1/2. the next few years is when they really start growing racks because the calcium isnt needed as much for the bones since they are fully developed then.
  3. give him a few more years here is the shot at 15 yds. if you didn't want to let him grow up.
  4. I would guess in the 150's for both , what do you think ?
  5. ok, both 10's are on opposite sides of the state the one in velvet was taken on 08-18 the other was taken 09-07 they look about the same spread. the one out of velvet looks like he has more mass. his bases are about as big as the other deer in velvet, but then the one in velvet is still growing, but not much. both look like they wont have much in deductions side to side. the one in velvet looks like he will have longer tines and he does have longer brows. one is on the farm my friend hunts one is on the farm I hunt. I guess the only way to really find out is if he shoots his and I shoot mine.
  6. bear bows I will be using my Bear super mag 48 this season. Jack

    MaMa and baby

arrows Arrow32, I just got a dozen finished shafts from rose city archery. I usually seal my own shafts but I didn't feel like messing with that on these shafts. they are tapered 60-65. I have 3 fletched up and just got in from shooting them with the wensel woodsmen broadheads. I have 6 other 60-65 tapered cedars that came from 3 rivers archery. they came finished and fletched. I have one with a howard hill head, the other 2 have a magnus 2 with bleeders. Jack
  8. one more day and baby could become an orphan. Oct. 1 starts bowhunting here. the blinds are ready, the bows are ready. only thing left is to sharpen the broadheads tomorrow after shooting them one more time. I will use my bear super mag 48 with a 60-65 cedar and a Wensel woodsman broadhead for the first deer, then it will be my KT-44 with the same arrow broadhead combination.
  9. deer Fly, I hate to say this but....it's flies on his face !!!!!!!!!! hoosier hunter..the 3rd and 4th deer are about 10 miles apart. the 3rd deer I have picture of him the last 3 years, he was always wide but short tines. the 4th deer this year is the first time I saw him. Here is another picture of him from the side. His tines match up really good. side to side he matches up really good, he will be a super clean 10. You can see his g2 on his right side is right even with his left g4 in this picture but you can see where it stops because of the different color of the velvet.
  10. I am just driving around the back roads with my van and 300 mm lens. all the pictures are on different farms. Jack
  11. I cropped and resized a few of the buck pictures so they are easier to compair. 10 pointer 10 pointer I got pictures of this 10 for the last 3 years. nice and wide but no height. the one right below it I only saw once. they both have the same width, but you can see the height is much more on the one below it. 10 pointer 10 with some junk and great brows another 10 with junk and great brows and the 10 with allot of mass and some junk
  12. My neighbors boy Luke shot his unique buck Saturday evening.
  13. deer Great looking pictures Dave. I took one of the buck and opened to check the EXIF, but it wasn't there. I was going to see what fstop and speed you were at plus the ISO. were these with the 200-400 or the 70-200? Jack
