I have lived and hunted all my life in Colorado and I am also a big game outfitter. Myself and all of my hunting buddies practice out to 70 yards every year! We are all very comfortable shooting longer distances because we have been doing it for years! I have all my clients shoot when they arrive at camp to see how far that they are comfortable shooting. That way we can advise them how far they should take a shot while out in the field. If you are good at calling you can expect shots from 20 to 50 yards most of the time! Hope this helps!!
