  4. I get to see Tim this weekend at the NY Outdoor Expo and looking forward to it. Tim does a lot of work to get things set up for the Expo so he may not have much Time to log in this week.
  5. I've gotten 43 inches of snow in the last 2 weeks. It will be a while before I shed hunt up here.
  6. Not legal here in New York either. Take a look at smart phone apps, I bet there would be something there for you.

    Arrow rest

ALAN, you said you got this bow at Christmas. How can the brushes on the bottom be bad already? I have a QAD and it is awesome but I don't see how a brand new rest can have bad brushes.
  8. The 2016 ATA show was last week. I don't know about you but aside from the new archery gear I really like seeing all the new hunting gadgets. Here are 29 pages of videos to check out. Tell me which was your favorite or what you look forward to the most. I was hoping to see some new patterns from Realtree but no. https://www.bowhunting.com/tag/ata2016/?post_type=video

    17,000

With this post I have reached the 17,000 milestone. I still cannot believe that I managed to come up with 17,000 things to say.
  10. Still waiting for ice here. I'm getting excited to get out. Conditions never allowed us to get on the ice last winter.
  11. Congrats! I bought that bow for my son in 2014. It's a great little shooter!
  12. You have to be on Santa's nice list first. Thanks again Dan!
  13. I've seen some very cool and some very strange things in the woods over the years. Thought I would share two from this past gun season. Picture one is from the very first day of season and picture two is from the last day. So I was putting on a drive through some very thick brush. Suddenly I hear this God awful loud noise. I froze because I've heard wounded deer make some strange sounds. I start creeping. Suddenly I see a patch of white and I start thinking it's a deer's hind end. Slowly creeping I now see red with the white and I'm really thinking wounded deer. A couple more steps and guess what's looking at me? A chicken! Yes one grade A poultry wandering around in the middle of the woods. Again on the last day I was putting on a drive. Suddenly this sapling catches my attention. There is a circle in the center of the tree. I walk over and I was astonished to see this stuck to a tree. I didn't have time to take a picture in the woods but I brought it home before some deer licked it and got sick. The 2015 season was one of the toughest ever for us NYS hunters but sure did provide some great comic relief.
  14. She obviously has good taste. Phooey on that Moldy Oak.
  15. Nice doe Luke!! What grain Powerbelt are you using? I've read across other boards that the .295's have poor penetration. My buddy uses the .338 gr. Platinum's and I use the .348 gr. hollow points and we have never had a problem with penetration. We couldn't use shockwaves either for the same reason. Needed a sledge hammer to drive them down the barrel.
  16. It's going to be 65 here in northern NY on Christmas day. Me no likey!
  17. My season ended yesterday. It's been fun guys. Must say this has been the quietest group of teammates I have ever been part of here. Hope some of you check in with deer. I will be busy the next few days. If I don't make it back before, Merry Christmas everyone!!!!

    A true American hero!
  19. Wow he is a real stud! Maybe next year. We have 2 more weekends left. I'm hoping for one more doe.
  20. I've been bowhunting now for about 8 years. Try to read through all of the hype and celebrity endorsed broadheads and read actual field testing. Peterson Bowhunting magazine has put out a few good articles the last 3-4 years. Me personally I like Slick Trick broadheads. I use the 100 gr. magnums. They are scary sharp, fly like field tips and are affordable.
  21. If you can find some plastic film canisters, just duct tape a clothes pin to the outside and put a cotton ball inside. There is also the Pee Willie Wick
  22. I cannot see the picture here at work but I'm sure it's a dandy. Congratulations!!
