This time of year, with their thick fur, they can make a neat wall mount. But usually I don't have much left of them, so I cut off their tail and hang them on the fence or gate! Kinda neat driving by and seeing 4 or 5 tails blowing in the wind! In some parts around here, hunters will hang the yote carcass on the fence next to the road. That's sort of an old tradition in these parts!

Folks.... the floods gates are open....! We, as Americans, must stand up to these attempts to bring this country down! The real key to keeping your guns....stay in touch with your Congressman and Senators...REGULARLY! I've already contacted Congressman Chet Edwards, here in Waco, regarding the latest bill to hit the Congress H.R. 45! So much of the anti-gun legislation is coming from the cities with high crime rates. Consequently, those Congressional representatives from those areas feel that they need to penalize the country for the problems affecting their area, rather than putting the pressure on the mayors in those cities to cure the problem. Congressman Bobby Rush, a Democrat from Chicago, is the latest from the "left wing". The odd thing about most of those cities with the highest crime rates.... they all have Democrat mayors and city councils running their cities...and have done so for decades!

You're OK with that breech plug....no problem. And that "inexpensive Traditions" will kill 'em just as dead as those high dollar guns will!

That sorta depends on whose story you read first. All this hit the news last week.... but ole Carmine "Tom" Biscardi has been doing this kind of stuff for several years. It looks like those good ole Georgia boys out duped the duper! Biscardi was stomping around last year in Paris, Texas trying to do the same thing! Well.... as expected ...ole Biscardi's press conference was pretty much a bust. Bunch of blog pictures... DNA samples were, possum, chicken, and human! No explanation for any of it! He's still trying to get someone to talk to him thru HIS radio show..... and won't divulge the location of the Bigfoot body! He said there wouldn't be anything more revealed Friday, but promised that he would "assemble" a group of scientists to examine the alleged corpse. Whitton recounted how he and Dyer found the "body," and said that more Bigfoots "paralleled" them as they were loading it onto a flatbed truck. Biscardi said Whitton and Dyer had gotten death threats from Sasquatch fanatics, whom Whitton deemed "psychos." None of this was likely to dissuade skeptics, even among Bigfoot experts, who questioned Biscardi's past ventures and noticed that the body in the freezer looked a lot like a Sasquatch Halloween costume available on the Internet . "It definitely looks like our costume," Jerry Parrino, owner of TheHorrorDome.com, told FOXNews.com. "This 'body' has little to do with Bigfoot and everything to do with a Sasquatch costume that someone developed after watching too many gorilla movies," warned Loren Coleman , who runs the influential Cryptomundo blog devoted to strange and unknown animals. There will always be and still are countless 100's of skeptics out there, but there are also many who do know that there is an undocumented primate out there in some areas of this country. Many of those who know, also have more letters after their name than anybody on this forum. The issue of it being "listed" will most definitely create some major head-scratching! Certain persons within the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department have had discussions with our group (Texas Bigfoot Research Conservancy) regarding the "endangered" status should it be determined conclusively that they do exist in Texas. We surmise that it will require the creation of a "special status" that would be exclusive of the current endangered list; and, it will also require extensive governmental research into its habitat and migration. What I fear the most, is the sudden and massive onslaught of "field researchers" into the areas known to harbor a sasquatch, and then it will end up like Harry (Harry & the Hendersons)!

You can call them just about any time of the year, and as stated, it may vary from state-to-state! I got three in 30 minutes one afternoon on Labor Day a few years ago, using a puppy distress call. I was sitting under a live oak tree, on a stool, and with no camo; had one come within 15 yards of me! The puppy distress is a good one to start off with, because if they are nearby, they will come in almost immediately. Once you start hunting yotes, you'll become addicted! It is tons of fun!

There are a few around here, most people seem to be impressed with them. The company is an old one, been in business about as long as tractors! They use to make jeeps for the U.S. military in the Pacific during WW II! They were/are very durable and dependable!

As you can see by my last post on this subject in May, 2006, I haven't been on here to discuss ole Biggie in quite a while. I appreciate you guys "coming out of the closet" so to speak, with your stories and beliefs. I have been a member of the Texas Bigfoot Research Conservancy for 5 years, and most of our work is concentrated in and around Texas. Our goal is to capture ON FILM undisputed evidence of a Sasquatch. We have countless reports and sightings that have been investigated by our field researchers. The evidence continues to mount.... some day we will achieve our goal. We know there will always be skeptics about the existence of this creature, but no one has ever proven that the creature doesn't exist! I have been hunting(and fishing) for over 50 years, and have yet to see any animal that creates such skepticism in spite of the insurmountable evidence that the creature does indeed exist. My friend from Goldthwaite, Texas, Warren "Bull" Blesh, sent me this story and picture of this axis he took at his ranch..... Many of you know the story of the gun I carry when I hunt. It belonged to my best friend who passed away a few years ago. The Legend, a 22.250 just does not miss. Earlier this year I was able to hook a shot around a Yucca at an antelope in West Texas to make a perfect shot at 150 yards. I do believe my guide Tex from Wildlife Systems was amazed. Tonight, I went on a short doe hunt here at the RRR. Around 5:15, I saw this huge axis on top of a ridge about 250 yards away. Dori had bell choir and I had no business shooting a deer anyway tonight. I watched as one, two and then three axis bucks made their way across the ridge above me, very quietly. These axis are nearly impossible to find. So, the last axis began to pass and then took a nice look at me and gave me a silloute look at 250 yards. I knew he was the big axis my friend Randy Pfaff from Colorado had hunted this summer. So, knowing this was a once in a lifetime shot and I HAD THE LEGEND, I decided to take a neck shot. It was too late to go looking for a big deer, so it was hit or miss. Well, end of story. The Legend never misses! Yessir..... I'll be in front of the Scat Cat in Port Aransas this evening..... getting ready to go feed......errrr.....hmmmmm..... catch some fish!

For those of you who watch the shows on the Outdoor Channel.... stay tuned after Keith Warren's show on Sunday... and you'll see the NEW and GLAMOROUS tv hunting show star..... ME! I did an elk hunt last fall at the Flat Top Ranch in Walnut Springs, Texas with Chad Brauer, and it will be televised at 10:30AM... or if you're up early tomorrow... it will be on at 5:00AM. We had a great hunt, Chad took a nice 300 class bull.... me....I got to take the CULL! If you do watch... have your hankies ready too.... I dedicated my part of the show to my dad.... we had just received word that he had about four more months to live..... so it got a little emotional! Hope you all can watch... and enjoy.

Go with the PRO! I've shot the .50 cal, .270, and the .30-06 in two different styles of stocks for the PRO. I enjoyed the "thumb-hole" version the best! Although the TC Encore recoil system is better, I don't think that the extra $300 is worth spending on that gun. The trigger is especially fragile and would be a shame to call off a hunt because of it breaking!

Most everybody has covered the gun....the TC line is a good choice! But also see where you're also gonna use the Nikon scope.... that BDC will do the job for you. It does take a little getting use to since it is not a mil-dot reticle! But, it is an accurate, bright scope and one you should enjoy!
