I am 28 years old, I grew up in a small town near Lake Ozark Missouri. I have always loved cars and drag racing but in 2000 I met a guy, now my husband, that got me hooked on hunting deer! I love it and we have a blast hunting together.

  1. Two more for QAD ultra rests. Me and the husband just got the QAD. Half the price of most drop aways. ($52 i think) REALLY like it!
  2. thats what I like to see. Been walking miles lately looking. Just had a little luck lately.
  3. I just got a Mathews DXT. Awesome short smooth bow. Husband had a hard time picking between the Z7 and Monster. The z7 was awesome shooting and super smooth but he went with the monster because he is a speed junky. The monster is not smooth on the draw but shoots about as smooth as the Z7. He didn't have a difference in accuracy between the two.
  4. The thing that got me interested was my husband took me too an archery shop and they set up a bow to shoot...I ended up buying it and loved it ever since.
  5. LOL yes he did have a chance to get him...he missed a shot at him the day before. I was never so happy for him to miss the shot that's for sure! We were taking turns hunting, we were just happy to get him either way. :-) Yes it is on private land.
  6. He came in to a grunt. He only had three good legs, the back one was bad and he had been gouged by another buck. Didn't stop him from coming in to look for a fight though! The taxidermist is guessing him to be 7 years old. I doubt he would of made it through winter. He had 19 points.
  7. Sorry I'm just now posting this. I posted trail pics of a buck asking if it was booner for conversations sake. http://www.realtree.com/forums/showthread.php?t=91849 http://www.realtree.com/forums/showthread.php?t=91894 Well...on Nov 9th 7:08 AM I put him down at 15 yards wth bow for the count! Green scores- 216 total gross 210 net non typical The typical 10 point frame grossed just over 200! But with the way B&C scores..it knocks it down to 176 net with 24 inches in deductions. Don't worry I am SUPER happy and so is my husband(who missed him the day before at 30 yards). Dont worry the husband redeemed himself..maybe he'll post his buck later.
  8. Heres a couple more pics of the big guy.
  9. yeah we were thinking over 170's but we've been hunting him about a month so we'll see. We've had several encounters in the evening of seeing him but just out of range and looks HUGE in person. Keep your fingers crossed. I'll post a couple more pics of him with different views.
  10. Here is a better picture of him, you still think about 163?
  11. Caught him on the trail camera..what do you think he scores? Got about a dozen pics of him.
  12. Thanks for the info, it won't be till next year for sure.
  13. Have any of you girls shot this bow yet? I am looking to upgrade next year, I currently have a Parker Challenger it was my first bow and I have loved it for the past 8 years but it max's out with a 50# draw and I feel I should have already upgraded so I could draw more but we have just been in and out of hunting for the past few years. Anyway the passion's have caught my eye but I'm having a hard time finding anyone that has shot it since they are so new. Any help would be great! Thanks!
  14. I'm getting pumped too! Tonight I shot my bow for the first time in over a year and a half! I've been dying to get back out but it seems like after I had my daughter (turning 4 in Nov) I have not been able to make time to get out. My husband and I are getting out this year for deer season and I can't wait!
