    Lost my job

Hope you find work soon Tom, like someone else said, you talked highly about that job. Prayers sent.
  2. They lied to you about the handsome part!
  3. My mother always said to me, if you don't learn something new everyday then you need to clean your ears out and listen more. I was a slow reader as well and had a learning disability, with hard work and understanding material, got out of high school on high honors and went to college. You can do anything if you set your mind to it....!!
  4. How in the heck did my old name come back??? I am a monster buck once again!!!!!!!!!! lol!!!!!!!!!!! Wooohoooo!!!! Anyways.... what happen to my "casey"name I promise guys I didn't change it!!!
  5. Has anyone told you, that you look like David Hale from Knight N Hale game calls???
  6. You talk about the best conditons to hunt in and coming out empty handed. Lots of does up and moving every morning and not seeing any bucks behind them. Is the Indiana rut already over. I think a lot of the does have been bred already! November 15th Indiana Gun Season opener. We got set up right beside where the deer were moving from food plot to bedding area. We had monster rubs and big scrapes about 50 yrds down wind of our position, the morning was long and rainy. It was about 38 degrees the whole time. We finally got to see two does at 11:00am. They came in on one of many trails, then slowly walked toward the bedding area. After the moved off these two twin button bucks which have been seen together all year came in and this is where it got interesting. This particular button buck came in and just walked right to the blind. I cannot believe I got deer fever on a button buck, but I did. He came in checking the wind and looking through our blind window. He would pick up a couple of akerns and then look at us, it took him 15 minutes to pass our blind. He got within 6 yards of our blind when it was all over. The other button buck watched his curious brother and came in very cautious. He didn't know what to do, but he suddenly picked off my cameraman. Gil (cameraman) moved at the wrong time and set the buck off. He slowly put his white flag up and slowly walked off. He never blew or busted us. We sat there another 2 hrs and called it a morning. November 15th Afternoon/Evening Hunt. This time we moved the blind to another part of the woods, this place was incredible, we were blended in very well. Like the morning hunt it was late in the hunt when they started to move. Right around 5:30pm a 1 1/2 year old doe came in. She kept looking behind her and bleated a couple times, we heard a loud grunt behind us. I gave a couple of grunts as well. Then we heard the twigs snapping and seen the buck. He was probably a tall rack 9 pointer. He looked really good but didn't get him on video. He stood his ground and never came out to give us a shot. Now the year and half doe came walking our way, yet another encounter with a deer in the Ameristep Outhouse Blind. This doe came within 10 yards and slowly put her tail up and walked behind us. We heard the deer over the hill and the buck was grunting at her. The buck was probably a 3 1/2 year old. Huge body and from little of what I saw he had long brow tines and good mass. November 16th Morning Hunt. We kept the blind there and hope that the mature 9pt would come back. We got into the blind this morning and within 5 minutes heard bleating and grunting coming from behind us. I slowly turned to look to my left, Gil looked to his right. Gil said they on his side heading toward the pond. You could hear the grunting and bleating for a little while. We are on a private lease ground and with public land to our north we hear lots of gun shots. We really thought the deer would come our way, but it was a slow morning, had only 4 does come in. I was going to take a doe, but didn't want to mess this place up. This location will produce a big buck this year. To many rubs and scrapes. I have to go back to work and will not be able to hunt until the first week of December. Hopefully Indiana will get some snow by then, hit the second rut. Like my subject says the conditions was perfect, cold, not lot of wind, but the deer just didn't show up like we though they would. But hey!!! Thats hunting!! Thanks for reading!!
  7. Buddy killed a big 130 inch class pope n young. Connected on a 56 yrd shot with his stick and string. He called him away from a doe n heat!! Weighed in at 218 field dressed, on the hoof around 230lbs. Took this buck in Vigo, County.
  8. Once the temps drop, the rut will be in full swing!
  9. Thats what I thought. Congrats on your deer...
  10. Getting a little warmer.... too warm for my taste. The deer look like they are still moving good.
  11. I went out to my stand, but I had a small heart surgery and doctor told me not to bow hunt. Well I went out but just left the bow at home. Saw a pig of a buck out about a mile to my south, he was bird dogging a doe. This boy is the one I am after. He's a main frame 6x6 with some trash on his brow tines. His G3's are crab claw's. I say he might go 170's. He's a 6 1/2 year old.
  12. I love living and hunting in Martin County. We got some nice land here to hunt with some great bucks roaming around.
  13. But I didn't get him lol, had you didn't I. Check this buck out!! This was killed on the highway probably six miles over a couple of big ridges where my stand is located. I picked a funnel where they travel through their bedding area and to the acorns. I seen this buck three years ago and he was massive then, but look at what he grew into. Hopefully his genes got passed down to some does and into some bucks. What do you think he would have scored?? I say 185 and some change. The DNR checked his teeth and gave him an 7 1/2 years old. He weighed in at 325lbs. A Uhaul truck hit him on a foggy morning. He rolled the buck and the buck got back up and then fell down. He tried to get back up several more times before expiring. Too bad he went out like that. He was a hawg!!! Sorry for the graphic pictures.
  14. I just looked at the website and they have a few new bows for 09'. I have yet to check them out in person, will be doing that in December. I do like the sound of the Admiral.
  15. On RealTree's Monster Bucks's XVI, Spook Spann shot a **** of a buck, I thought his emotions was dead on. I would have went crazy too, he was crying as well. He made history with the biggest buck killed on camera with a bow. You wouldn't have a pulse if you were in his shoes and not get excited. Great Buck Spook!
  16. Since I cannot bow hunt cause of surgery, I am going to be in the market for a new come this December. I am going to shoot Bowtech lineup first then the Hoyt next. I have a lot of Hoyt and know what exactly what they have to offer, so I want to try the bowtechs. Online I am looking at the 82nd AirBorne or the 101st AirBorne. My arrows will be my favorites, Easton ST Excel 400 tipped with the G5 Tekkan. I am ready for next season already. Can't wait to see what my buddies get this bow season. I am excited for them.
  17. I had a surgery this September and wont be able to pull back my bow. So bow season is out of the question. Thats ok though. My friends and I are starting our very own prostaff team. Acorn Ridge Outdoors. Yesterday my buddy invited me over to see the buck on video that he got. This deer is at least in the mid-170's. He's wide at least 24 inches inside spread. Well the day he taped this buck in a bean field, I was also glassing a huge 6x6 in another bean field where I have permission to hunt at. This buck could go in the high 150's or low 160's. We have about 10 prostaffers on our team and we all know each other and grew up with one another. We already have our demo tapes dvd out on Turkey hunts, we didn't get many buck kills on the last demo, so we didn't release it. This year will be different. Hillbilly
