    Seat Belts

The fact that I'm sitting here composing this reply is indisputable evidence that seat belts work. A little over 5 1/2 yrs. ago I was glad I had mine on, as I always do, when my vehicle was hit head on. Yep, still here. Guess the question for driver's is really,,would you rather compose or decompose?
  4. Get ready for oil to take a big jump again. Hurricane Gustav is heading for the Gulf of Mexico after it crosses Cuba and will build to a cat. 5 quickly in that warm water,,,,sheeeesh.
  5. Is that the same thing that some people call a "ladybird"? Just wondering.
  6. waryk, did you get an owner's manual with that shotgun? Read it if you did. It will tell you not to shoot slugs through an overbored barrel. I think they make slug barrels to fit the 835.

  9. I think our native "panther" is a subspecies of another cat myself. Maybe more like from the jaguar family or something. The ear size and placement just doesn't fit the mountain lion (cougar) look, I don't think. http://outdoors.webshots.com/photo/1050493783036824857ZLXsWX
  10. The black panter that used to frequent this area long ago seems to be a subspecies all to itself. Studying old sketches and drawings of "black panthers" from around here they don't exactly resemble the larger cats like cougars, leopards, or jaguars a great deal. They are larger than bobcats but smaller than cougars. So rarely seen anymore, some of the "experts" say they are a myth and don't exist. Check this young one out for it's build and uniqueness to it's larger brothers. This one looks like the drawings/sketches I've seen of panthers around here and fits the description of one that traveled through this area a year or two ago.

  22. WV law does not permit the use of any straight walled case less then .357 mag. for deer hunting so it would only be good for target practice and/or home defense,,kind of useless around here.
