Killed my second bird and called one up for jr. The boys here in Pa are getting it. Do not have a pic yet, but called a good bird up for my dad Monday at 0700. He came with 5 hens in tow. Having a great year so far....

Jr. was out of school due to a dentist appt. We hunted after and struck a bird bout 1045. He came in and stood around in strutt for a while. Jr crushed him at 30 yds with hevi #7. that is 6 this year with the #7 shot....

Tornados, rain, wind, hail, rain and some more rain. Total of 11 inches in 9 days. Very few gobbling birds made the hunting tough, but managed to tag two and call two others to the gun. After the 900 mile drive and arriving home at 0100. The alarm rang at home in Pa @ 0500. Yawn..... Number 1 in Pa gobbled his last at 0617. Nice two year old became the 5th gobbler on the 2011 season.

Have not been spending much time here due to personal reasons, but took the 9 hour trip to Tenn last week. Uncle has 800+ acers that is covered up in birds. #1 hit the ground only 2 hours after me being in the state. Mondays bad weather had me feeding fighting chickens and spending time with the uncle. #2 took a load of #7 Hevi at 0900 on Tuesday. I am here to tell you Tenn is covered up in gobblers. Missouri has nothing on them.

Here ya go Congrats to veryone who as scored. Tough year here in Pa. Never saw much fo the rut either. Had a good shot on this 9pt and with the seson end near, I took it. 18" 9pt.

And here it is November.

Got it today Wa- Hooo I checked the mail today and it was there waiting on me. My 2010 propety taxes that is. I just love it when they show up in a reasonable time, like deer season. LOL
