  1. I am getting ready to build a deer blind for next season, that I will put on a 10' tall platform. I was just wondering what you guys like for windows? Preferably pre-manufactured. I have tried making my own and have not liked the way they turned out. Thanks in advance.
  2. Who makes new 10 ga. shotguns besides Browning, Remington, and NEF? I'm looking for a double or a semi. I think a company like American Arms or something like that used to make double but I couldnt find anything on them. Thanks, Justin
  3. Thanks for the replies, I didnt know if condensation would be a factor. Do you guys put tape or balloons over your barrels?
  4. I'm new to ML, I have a Triumph with the Nikon Omega scope. I shoot 3 50gr of pyrodex and the 250gr shockwave. My question is, How long can I leave it loaded? For example if I get done hunting and know that I'm going to be going back out sometime fairly soon do I need to shoot it at the end of the day of will it still be OK to leave the load in? I will abviously remove the primer when I'm done hunting. Thanks, Justin
  5. I'm looking at a bowhunting jacket at Cabelas its $50 without and $90 with the Scent-Lok. My question is, Is the Scent-Lok worth the extra money?
  6. How do you find out when Wyomings archery seasons start? I have the 2008 non-resident guide and cannot find anything in it. I'm looking for deer, antelope, and elk. Thanks in advance.

Re: Team Two Good job on the cow. I got a 5x5 bull during the first season by Del Norte in the Rio Grande. He only scores around 180.
  11. I will be hunting elk in colorados 1st season in the high country of the Rio Grande NF near Del Norte CO. The problem is I can get the forcast for Del Norte which is in the valley, but I cant figure out how to get a forcast for the high country. Anyone know where to go to get info on weather in backcountry areas. Thanks Justin
  12. Re: Team Two Rocks I have an either sex tag for Colorado's first season in Unit 80. I'll be trying for a bull the first few days but will probably shoot a cow if the opportunity presents itself the last couple of days. Good luck to you guys. Last year I shot a 355" bull around the Gardiner, Jardine MT area. Whitetailtrax are you familiar with that area. I will be going back there soon.

  14. Re: How to age elk? Thanks for the info. gobbler. Good luck in wyoming. Will you be hunting close to Yellowstone, I got mine off the Northern border. I have been thinking about getting the Eastmans book, I really like the magazine.

  16. I'm hunting first season in this unit for the first time anyone hunted this unit before. What can I expect? Will be hunting Rio Grande NF near San Francisco Lakes.
  17. I cant find any info on how to age elk, specifically bulls. Last year I went to Montana and shot a 6x7 and was wondering approx. how old he was. I'm sure there is some way to tell by looking at there teeth, but I was more looking at horn size. Is a spike a 1 1/2 year old, raghorn 2 1/2, 5x5 3 1/2? Thanks for any help.
  18. Re: 7mm RUM Thanks for the info. that sight you gave me is exactly what I was looking for. Is there a chart or a way to figure bullet drop for those loads.
  19. I was wondering if anyone had a handloading recipe for this caliber, preferably using a 160 nosler partition bullet. I used to buy them from remington but they quit making them. I was hopeing to be able to come close to duplicating this load, but if anyone has any different loads I'd sure like to see them. Thanks
  20. I was reading somwhere, maybe it was on here, that most sheds, like 90%, are found tines up. Thinking back on the sheds I found, thats seems to be fairly accurate. Do you guys have any thougts on why that would be? and do you find most of yours tines up?
