How did they perfom?

I am going to switch from CX Maxima Hunters to A/C/C's - and through some testing with the same arrow length and different broadheads, I have found ~1% FOC difference betwen the Maxima's and A/C/C's. I have found this to be true (within a certain tolerance) to apply to both fixed and mechanical broadheads. The extra camoflaged wrap on the Maxima's gives support to the claim of a weight forward design. Now that I am going to make the switch, I am looking forward to the board's recommendations on the best FOC for the following set up: Mathews Z7 set to 70# with 30" draw Whisker Biscuit 340 A/C/C cut to 28.5" 2" Blazer vanes String loop Any advice or recommendation is appreciated. I had a similar experince with the T3 in Illinios...on a private farm...in Pike County...a once in a lifetime experience....still sick about it.

I lived in Wisconsin Rapids, Wi and knew a lot of the machinists who built them. They are a great sight, very well made, very rugged. Let me put it this way: I have had an MQ1; SQ32 and now a Z7; shot XX78's, A/C/C's, and Maximas; and used a Cobra, Tru Fire, and Tru Ball; but only one sight; HHA. I'm not sure what else I could say - it is a darn fine sight and I won't use anything else. John

Let me say "thank you" in advance for your advice - it is much appreciated. I am blessed to have the opportunity to hunt Pike County, IL next week (11/6-8). Due to work commitments, I have limited time to practice and need to zero in on a broadhead choice: the G5 Montec's or the G5 t3's. The interesting thing is that they both are within 0.01% FOC compared to my 100 gr. field points. I will have a practice opportuity Monday, Thursday, and will be travelling to Illinois on Friday to start hunting Saturday morning. My setup includes a Z7 cranked up to 70 lbs, whisker biscuit, and Maxima 350's (with Blazers). If you were me, with limited last minute preparation time, which one of the fine products from G5 would you choose? Again thank you for your advice. John <><

Looks like a great day to spend with your daughter. I used to take our daughter pheasant hunting, now she is in college and we miss her. Cherish these days - they go by all too quickly.

We have all been there - hang in there and try to keep a positive attitude. The advice about heading towards water is a good one. Fromt he discription, without a pass through, the body cavity has filled up with blood . He's down, just think your way through and don't let negative vibes enter your thought process.

I understand that G5 has changed the type of steel used in the Montecs - ostensibly to make it easier to sharpen and hold an edge. Does anyone have experience comparing the two? Before laying out some cash, I am looking for any advice/insight about the change. The old 100 gr on my Maxima 350's fly like darts - so I will move away from success very slowly. Thanks. John

Okay, looking good is one thing....how does it shoot? The reason I am asking is that I am considering switching from my trusty SQ2 to the Reezen (wish it the bow didn't have such weird name) and I am looking to understand what you think of it? Thanks

This is not a bash thread. Repeat. This is not a bash thread, I have seen in another forum where archers are claiming flatter trajectory with the Delta Bi Vanes (Shark's Tooth) out to 40 yards and beyond when compared to the Bohning Blazers. With the BiVanes weighing 9 grains each I am trying to figure out how this might work? Due to a longer fletching, do the BiVanes change to FOC and that is what gives a flatter trajectory? Has anyone compared these two against one another? What were the results? Thanks, John
