    Update

Great news Shaun. Look forward not behind. Sounds like great things on the horizon.
  5. Welcome to Realtree . Nice pics. Are you a Fireman down there? You have a pic of the lift I work in daily with the bath tub wall in the back ground. Waiting on the acorns on the plaza to drop so I could plant some of the same trees.
  6. I sit all day only opening day of bow and gun season. After that my area gets a lot of pressure. So then it is only morning til 10 and afternoons(3:30) til dark. Never had a issue with having to do #2 on stand. I get up early enough and have my coffee and clean out and up before heading afield.

    Hi

Hey Ben...good to see some familiars around
  8. Corey(Dawg) had posted asking me to bring y'all up to date on what was going on down at the WTC. I have been working on the 9/11 Memorial and Museum for over 3 years now. Much of it was destroyed from Hurricane Sandy. Much has been repaired. Here goes I'll let the pics do the talking. This is the Freedom Tower the way it looked a few mornings ago at 6am. This is what we call the south canyon. The silvery walls on the far left is the foot print of tower 2 where it stood. On the wall way in the back is a piece of Impact steel. That is a actual beam that was struck by one of the planes that hit the WTC on 9/11. On the right. The stairwell is next to what is called the Survivor stairs. That is a staircase that was cut out from the rubble and saved because so many used it to get out of the WTC that day. This is a pile of Re bar and the claw that was used to sift through the rubble after the towers came down. This is one of the last standing pieces of steel that was left after the towers came down. Yes, it is in the shape of a cross. Quite special. There are atheists who are trying to exclude this artifact from the museum. This is the top of one of the Trident beams that supported the WTC. Just look at how big this is and the force that ripped this steel like it was aluminum foil. This was the site about 6 months ago. I work 120' below ground. Below the water fall foot prints of the old towers. This is when the space shuttle flew over the site(notice escort?) about 6 months ago also. I will try to take more pics and get y'all updated on what it will look like and where we are at with completion. You can always go to www.wtcprogress.com and www.911memorial.org for updates. Hope you guys like the pics.
  9. Amazing story. Glad things turned out OK.

    Hey Adjam5

Here is a pic of the south canyon and the south lower portion of the south tower that fell. The stairs to the right are the Survivor stairs that so many used to escape that fateful day. They were cut out and brought to the museum as a artifact. The steel hanging up on the back wall is also a artifact. That is a piece of Impact steel that was hit by one of the planes. [/url]

    Hey Adjam5

Here is a pic I took the other morning while going into work. The way the sun was hitting off of the Freedom tower( or Tower 1 as it is generically named) looked special. So I took this one.

    Woooohoooo vacation

Enjoy the time off. You work lots of hours. That time is well deserved.
  15. Thanks for the well wishes. Yes I did Bug...My country house is only 62 miles from home. I am there VERY often and enjoy the space and freedoms I don't have here in Rockland. Like shooting woodchucks off the deck;)

    Hey Adjam5

Thank you Corey. I hit the big 49 ...Let me see what I can dig up maybe take the cam to work tomorrow . The museum is coming along very nicely. I am currently installing the lighting supports at the lowest possible level on the site. 87' above ground. The Freedom Tower is topped off as is Tower 4. Tower 3 is a stump for future use and Tower 2 has yet to be started. They need the underground access that it provides for continued work on the train system below it.Here is one to hold ya over. It is a bit old. But a great pic none the less. I'll take some news ons this week.
  17. Awe shucks guys....Thanks! I appreciate it. I'm 49. Time flies way too fast.
  18. To hunt more at home and do less traveling to hunt. I have been ignoring the woods behind my home for about 4 years. We have taken some good deer in these woods. But I just don't feel like I'm hunting when I am 300 yards from my home and 40 miles from NYC. But the pickings look as if they are gonna be great this year here. Seen a great bunch of bucks together eating the raspberries off the bushes in my yard the other night. Of course I will still have to compete with my son and the other locals who hunt this land. BUT...I get home about 3:30 every day and will have enough time to sneak in a hunt daily if I wish for 8 weeks of our deer season. Bow only here.
  19. A 1980's era Bear Whitetail Legend. Shooting HUGE aluminum shafts and 3 bladed Muzzys.
