  1. Joe, I have used Secret Spot in sandy soil at our place in Sullivan county. It took well, but was over grazed fast, because the plot was so small (80'x25'). I plant it late now so it will have some staying power for the fall. Good Luck with it.
  2. Improvise, adapt and overcome. Nice job Joe! Looks like the perfect killing field .
  3. This Baby seal... walks into a club...

    This is it........

Good luck with the move and the new warehouse. Change is good every now and then. Start looking up the MS guys on the board for the hot hunting spots in the new area.
  5. Good Luck with the plot. It looks a bit over grazed. I have used pinwheels in the ground to scare them a way so over grazed plots could recover. No doubt they have been hitting the Biomaxx. With all the greens out there now, they are in YOUR plot. It looks like you picked the right seed mix.
  6. Elbow slightly bent, kisser button on the kisser, peep in line and open hand grip. She looks ready to go hunting! Good Luck with the bow and hope she don't wind up out shooting you!
  7. Oh...Jeez...I hope April makes a full recovery and Ryan the Prayers are on their way.
  8. Hope all goes well. Prayers on the way.
  9. ooooooo:D Hope you feel better soon and get to enjoy the rest of the summer.

    Nice Surprise!

Congrats to you! Now practice practice practice so that Elk gets up on your wall! Congrats Nick.
  13. I could lend ya my son Joe and his Mathews DXT:D. He has shot 5 in less than 3 weeks here in our yard in Rockland. But as the others have said, apples are aromatic and will draw it to the trap. I have used apples/lettuce and cucumbers with much success trapping groundhogs in the have a hart live trap. We stopped using the trap, caught too many squirrels and started using our bows. Good luck with it. I know they can wreak havoc on lawns ans gardens.
  14. Glad she is OK...Good Governors are hard to come by. We know that all too well here in NY:D
  15. Welcome to the forums:) This is a great place to learn. Most of the lessons I learned by hunting usually resulted in coming home with a unfilled tag. That was the motivation to get better. But be careful... That elusive mature whitetail, can consume MANY hours of your life and strain family relations. That I know 1st hand:D. You chose a great sport for your sons to get involved in. You won't be sorry. Good Luck and there is no such thing as a stupid question...

  17. Good Luck Frank. Hope your feeling better also.
  18. That does sound like a good place to hunt. Nice job convincing the owner to let you hunt . Good luck over there and hunt safe.
  19. My 04 Outback is set at 29"/62lb draw.
  20. You'll see my son Joe( Squirrelhunter91) and I at the Suffern show fer sure;). It is 15 mins away, and your welcome to bring your bow and come over for Rockland county backstraps and shoot at our home here Tim. You WILL be hijacked for a meal if you are gonna be this close to us
  21. Many more Jeramie...Happy Birthday!
  22. Look at all the promise that piece of land holds. It wasn't wasted. It was better than going to work ...right?
  23. Thanks for the comments:) The AKM is a pre 86 ban model, so it was grandfathered in with that ban. The M4 is a "NY legal" AR. No bayo lug, the flash suppressor has no cuts in it, 6 position stock is pinned as not to be collapsible. NY legal...what a crock Yeah...but who knows how much longer we will be able to have semi auto magazine accepting centerfires. Joe picked up that shirt at a gun show we attended.
  24. This is my oldest son Joe. I sure hope I'm raising him right...You know growing up in NY and liking guns and hunting. You know there are so many Tap dancing schools here in NY( I tried to give him options... you know) and he just does not want to go to them. He opts to hunt, shoot and fish. Whats a Dad to do these days???
