  3. Joe, if this goes through future NY hunters will be in good shape. Yes...a Trapping mentoring bill! Pinch me! I must be dreaming:D
  4. Have a safe and Happy 4th everyone. Lets keep in our hearts and prayers the brave men and women of our Military that are making this Great country safe and free. My sons and I will be heading up to our hunting cabin in Sullivan county ,NY for a long weekend.
  5. This bill is very important for the future generations of hunters and trappers. It lowers the age to allow youth to get involved with hunting and trapping at a earlier age with a mentor. This letter is from the NY State Conservation Council. Hello, I have received word that the anti- hunting, anti- gun groups are doing a letter-writing campaign against the Junior Hunter/Trapper Mentor bill. I have also been told that someone is trying to get the youth big game mentor bill sent to the Governor early, so that he will have only anti- letters and will veto the bill. Bill # A11033 / S8228 was to be delivered to the Governor the first week of August; now, if the antis get their way, it will be delivered around July 16th. We need letters of support from all organizations, county federations, clubs and individuals sent to the Governor ASAP. The ones you have already sent do not count for this. The letter should list the organization's or individual's support for the Junior Hunter/Trapper Mentor Bill A11033 / S8228. Include your name, address, and phone number. State that this legislation is an educational tool allowing our youth to learn safety and ethics in the field from experienced adults. Send your letters to: Ms. Terryl Brownclemons Acting Counsel to the Governor State Capital Executive Chamber Room 210 Albany N.Y. 12224 Fax #518-486-9652 Please send a copy to NYSCC so that I know what went to the Governor's office. The NYSCC fax # is 315-894-2893. Thank you Harold L. Palmer President New York State Conservation Council, Inc. . 315-894-3302 315-894-2893 fax
  6. Thanks guys. Here is a photo of 2 friends who will be staying home this weekend. They come out often so they can miss a turn. That is a Cetme in .308 on the left and a Bushmaster lower with a Colt upper in 5.56. with a 4-12x50 IR scope Thats one of our yote guns. Have a safe weekend and Happy 4th!
  7. I will be spending my Independence day with 2 old friends. One is a symbol of good and the other is a symbol of bad. Both will be heating up good this weekend. I have not shot my AKM for many years. It is a pre 86 ban model, so it is up there in value. But, Hey... what good is a gun if you don't shoot it? The M4 is a Stag Arms Lower with a Rock River M4 upper. I can't think of a better way to celebrate the recent Supreme court ruling! "You can't do this in France baby" Ted Nugent
  8. Shall I send Joe over Chris?

    Ft Worth bound

    Have a safe trip Gator.
  10. Have a great one and many more!
  11. I recommend the Browning Micro Midas. Adjustable without a bowpress with a 10" draw range 18-28" adjustment. A good starter bow that is capable to hunt with at 40-50lb model.
  12. Welcome to Realtree:). My son and I use exclusivley the FoxPro line of callers and have nothing but good things to say about them. From yotes to crows the FoxPro does it all. I have not heard too many, or any for that matter; good reviews on the Western River. The FoxPro and Minaska callers are the best to me. With the Minaska having a bit better speakers than the FoxPro. Good Luck.
  13. If we can remember to get the vid cam next time. There is one more we have seen , but it is very skittish and has never given a shot opportunity...yet:D
  14. REAL NICE mount...Congrats.
  15. My son and I see bucks just about every day. We are fortunate to live in a suburban environ that enables us to have really good deer around and have access to land to kill those good bucks:D. So to answer your question , Yes...we see deer often.
  16. Those 4 are THE MOST liberal on that court and are a disgrace to America. Souter and Ginsberg are the worst. A 5-4 decision is SCARY close. A big feather in gun owners hats for sure.
  17. Nice buck mounts...Congrats!
  18. I got out at least a dozen times and most of them were for getting my 14 year old son a bird. We came close a bunch of times, but no cigar:rolleyes:.
  19. Have a Great one Joe;) Happy Birthday!
  20. Nice job. Very important to get all the fat and meat off and dried or the bugs will appear. I have 1st hand knowledge of this . It will provide memories for years to come.
  21. Good Luck with it all Chris.
  22. Carlin made me laugh soo many times. Hope he can make God laugh...He didn't believe.
