    B- Mobile

Welcome to the forums! My son just picked up a B mobile today at Gander Mt here in NY. Think he paid $69. To me that is on the high end $$$ for a turkey decoy. We took it home set it up and the body looks awesome. Beard is authentic looking. Very sturdy and strong in critical places, great colors too. But that also means, in cold weather it might be hard to get it to the shape. The tail fan is made of a silk like material that is almost see through. That I don't like. But the B mobile gives you a part to use real turkey tail feathers instead of the supplied silk one. A real tom tail has 18 tail feathers, the B mobile one has a tail fan adapter for 16. So it will look a bit short on width. I placed a tail fan from last year on it and OH boy did it look good. The combo of the real fan and the body they provide will definitely be a killer combo. Use your own tail feathers and it'll bring results. We mostly used the foam type decoys and they work fine, just after a few years of rolling them up, the color goes away on them. Good Luck!
  5. Your shooting form looks fine. Those factory sights give the user little to work with. Tape a few pizza box's together to give yourself a 3X larger background than the target. That should help give a better show of the overall pattern as Leo said. Also, it could just be how the gun shoots. This is why you are doing what you are doing. To find how the gun patterns.
  6. Nice buck congrats. Cool story too. Are they bigger than Texas deer? My son and I will be not far from San Antonio in the middle of March for Rios, but Axis deer is part of the hunt also. We too will be hunting free range animals. They should be in hard horn by then.
  7. With that much meat, My guess is that you have a walk in box for a fridge/freezer? I have only had Buffalo in the burger form at diners and such, but I can imagine what a nice steak or backstrap from a Buffalo would taste like. Sounds like good eatin' enjoy!
  8. How about a spotted Owl?
  9. Definitelyould be a sticky Buckee. Thanks Outdoorzman!
  10. Some ride to go for....Nice friend you have... Nice pics, Thanks for sharing.
  11. Nice pics. The pic by the shovel looks like the doe has a dart in its butt. Probably just a stick in the snow

    Suggestions?

Is there a "Penny Saver" or "Penny Pincher" free magazine distributed in your area? Advertise in that. One thing I know gets results is... Get to the local newspaper stores and insert fliers in the local paper. Thats what the snow shovelers do around here. Word of mouth is also a BIG way to advertise. get your current customers to try and get the word out. Good Luck!

  17. I would go with Summit. I do not have the Goliath, but most have the same bottom portion. I have tried a few different ones, but the Summit is what I hunt with.

  19. I hope it all works out Cody...Prayers on the way
  20. Ruth... The factory Mossberg sights do not give much adjustment. If I am correct, it is a piece of sheet metal snapped over the rib on the barrel. With 3 settings of adjustment, center ,right and left. I replaced the factory sights with better Tru-Glo sights on my 835. But you said you have elevation and windage, That don't sound like the cheap factory set up. There should be some screws on the sight to adjust it. As far as aiming...I always aim when I shoot at turkeys. Aim right for the waddles. When wingshooting I would point the shotgun. The chokes for each task do different jobs. The turkey choke concentrates the shot, thats why you want to aim. Where as the modified and improved tubes spread out the shot more whereas pointing would work to hit your target. Hope this helps.
  21. In NYS, 2 bearded birds in spring...can hunt ONLY to 12 noon. Fall season, 2 birds either sex and can hunt all day.
  22. ADjam5 Adult Rio Grandes and Easterns If possible teamed with my son...Squirrelhunter91. We will be hunting together, so I can't root against him:D
  23. I am using arrows that are no longer made, but will be switching when I run out. Most likely to Gold Tip 55-75's. Beman 380-16's Very skinny and strong. The only thing I do not like about them is the outsert nock on them. I shoot a prong rest and the outsert lip edge takes a bit of the teflon rest tamers with it every shot. They wear out quick.
