Bob...The NRA's response was from a littany of kids being used as props by king obama throughout his monarchy so far. He fits right in above with all of those dictators and criminals. Whats good for the goose... Besides...my family was stripped of being able to protect ourselves and hunt with our LEGAL weapons of choice. I wish no harm on the royal children...but what makes them more special or worth more than my 3 sons?

I am putting a binder on a property in the Texas Hill Country. I will not need to sell anything. I am gonna miss my oldest son Joe( he will move ahead of me). He wants out of here in the worst way. Can't blame him.Wife and I are kind of stuck for a while with my youngest son still in high school for 2 more years and I have 7 more to retire with full bennies. But rest assured...I am getting out of NYS. BTW...Cheaper than dirt is elling 30rd AR mags for $129 each!

Just make sure now, that since the range said no to LE's...a environmental officer from the town or state don't show up now and start saying..Well, there is a lot of lead contaminating the ground here. That could undermine the plan if the range is made to do soil remediation. Something they may have tolerated since the police trained there.

Time to move to a sovreign state like Texas. Which I feel is on the verge of secession. As are other states. Just look at the laws Texas and Missouri have recently proposed. They will jail any Fed who tries to enforce any Federal gun control law. I am looking in Pensylvania now for another home until I retire. This is a band aid type repair and Texas will be the cure when I get there. Looking at land in the Hill Country this Feb 6th-12th. Let someone else foot the bill for the freeloaders of NYS. I have a trade and I can earn anywhere. BTW...I agree about Cuomo being groomed for the monarchy.

No matter where anyone stands on this issue...hot issues like this should go through Congress. Not by Executive order. The man thinks he is the King of America. He is evil and the worst kind of politician. Did you know that the King has signed into law over 923 executive orders in his 4 year career? That is more than EVERY president combined since Amerika(pun intended) became a nation. W Bush in his 8 years only signed 64...Look it up. That don't sound like a president that believes in the constitution does it? Over 923! I'll say it again...923! This man is pure evil and I can only hope the next president will repeal all of this anti American sentiment.

Sorry Chris...I don't agree that target shooting is violence. It is safe responsible use of firearms. Only the liberal media and anti gun democraps has made owning/using/shooting a gun a bad thing. No where at all did the NRA shoot itself in the foot. I applaud their actions and I am grateful that there are organizations like the NRA. Because without them...Your gun, my gun...our guns would have been history a long long time ago. You enjoy the benifit of the NRA's hard fight to keep guns in the hands of private citizens. Maybe if all gun owners were NRA members. King Obama and King to be Cuomo would be a bit afraid to move on gun owners.

BTW - The Federal Government has been selling these rifles to the public for many years through the CMP (Civilian Marksmanship Program). GReat point Bug...I have been wondering why this was NEVER brought up in any discussions? Teddy Roosevelt started the DCM for citizens to get surplus military rifles to be the first line of defense against invasion and to provide folks with arms to protect against tyranny. Where did America take the left turn? As a NY resident..today I am sick to my stomach. Facts never got in the way of a liberal making a point.

Hello, I have just been made aware that the folks who are running this show will not allow what they deem to be “Tactical” weapons to be displayed/ parts for those weapons or even be part of a raffle? This cannot be the truth can it? If this is the truth...I have to tell you. Last year was the last time I will ever visit your show again. My family and I book a motel room and spend the entire weekend at that show. That stops now. This will hurt the local economy(because of your politics) and I hope enough folks stop going to your show so that will wake you up and make you realize how you are becoming part of the problem . Not part of the solution. Many many hunters and fishermen are serious gun enthusiasts. Do you not know this? For the operators of this show to be part of the pitiful response of Demcraps and liberals blaming law abiding gun owners for recent tragedies is sickening. So again in closing. I will do my best to spread the word( emails and outdoor bulletin board posts) about how the people running the Eastern Outdoor show are part of the anti gun crowd. I will urge all of my friends, family, relatives and co workers NOT to attend your expo ever again. It is a slap in the face of all lawful gun owners everywhere. Thanks for the heads up! Everyone should do this.

I have upped my membership and even sent $ to the NRA-ILA for added measure. We are all in this fight. If you think they are after just evil black guns...I have a bridge to sell you.

That is good news...But the media is hammering this thing to death. If the King of America invokes a executive order...Man o man will there be soo many people out there with red butt that will not stand for that. Laws and other items the King can use exec order. But anything regarding the Constitution and bypassing congress will have catstrophic reprecussions. There is a ammo shortage and guns are flying off the shelf in record numbers. Gun appreciation day is coming next week. Be part of it throughout the country.

Happy Birthday to all of you guys! Hope ya have 100 more!

Ha! Had no idea you were a former New Yawker! . My youngest boy has me locked in here for a little bit more with his academic future. Good for him...bad for me. Well, maybe not so bad for me. He is my son. Yes, folks here in the tri state area are very used to things being done for them. My wife grew up in Manhattan and I had a massive battle with her with us moving here to Rockland county. It was affordable 18 years ago when we moved here and my taxes were 1800/year...Now...I am almost 10g's!...Yup...I said 10 grand. I have nothing spectacular for a home either...a 1400sqft ranch w 3 bedrooms(built in 1958) and a 1/3 of an acre. On that principle alone...I need to get out of NYS. Forget about all the other stuff that pushes you move. That is enough. My ultimate goal is to move to the Texas Hill country(Kerr or Gillespie county). I have been going there the last 6 years and fell in love with the area and the Texas state of mind. Matter of fact I am going down there this Feb and I will be looking hard a property there I have had my eye on for a while.

I have been trapping for about 8 years now and I can tell you scent control is paramount! Coyotes have been the hardest to trap and Fox come in a close second. Coons are easy...they think with their belly too much. Fishers like venison scraps and the 110 works great on them. Beavers are finicky also. Be careful when setting a 330 conibear for beaver. Ruth...what you need to understand is that down state has the numbers/population and politicos kiss their butt. While rural NYers are on the same page as you and I. The downstaters think all gun owners are evil and just waiting to murder. Any gun owner is called a gun nut. No one protects our gun rights more than the NRA or the NYSRPA New York State Rifle & Pistol Association Please Ruth...If have some spare time.Call the Gov and your state senator and voice your oppostion to ANY new gun control laws in NYS. The last assault weapon ban in 1994 was presented and passed in ONE Day!
