I take it you mean deer season... in NYS this year, we might have it open on October1st southern zone(early archery). That would be 2 weeks earlier than usual. No word yet from DEC if that will happen. Keepin our fingers crossed.

If you don't watch out criminals will fleece you. Protect your info and shred your mail and papers with important info on them. A popular scam is a call to old folks...saying... "Grandma...im in jail...I had a car accident and need you to wire money to get me out of jail." My Mom got a call like this, and was astute enough at 86; to realize my son Joe would never call her and ask for money. Wolves on every corner.

Came home early from the country to see my sons and all of them are out! Guess I will just have to spend some quality time with the Mrs and wait for the boys to get back. My typical Sunday pasta dinner is on the menu. Happy Fathers Day everyone.

Glad you guys were able to salvage some of the vacation John.

We have 63 acres in NY's southern Catskill mts. Our land is in a valley and the soil is quite fertile. 6.8ph I have two 1/4 acre hunting plots that have Imperial Clover planted in them. This is their 3rd year of the perrenial growth. These are in the middle of a apple orchard with Blueberry bushes surrounding them. I still lime the heck out the apple trees and fertilize the berry bushes with 10-10-10. Needless to say the apple trees draw a slew of game. I have no "equipment". So all I do, is by hand. A 24" tiller, walk behind vintage Scotts spreader, a home made harrow and a quad. Aside from planting food plots. Showing my apple trees some love(pruning, lime and water), pays big rewards.

I see you don't miss the opportunity to make 'em good coyotes. As you know...dogs are smart. Take a dog that has to eek its own living...you have one smart dog. Nice shooting and even better helping out a farmer.
