You'll be fine with a 20 ga as long as you pattern it. I shoot both 12 and 20 ga. My 20 ga is a T/C with an Comp-n-choke XXFull and I am shooting 3" #5 Federal Premium Mag Shok and I am getting good shot out to 53 yards. I also have a Benelli SBE 12 ga with an Comp-n-choke XXFull shooting 3" #5 FP Mag Shoks and I am getting good shot out to 65 yards....and the yardage is the only diff with the two gauges. I the only bad thing I have found is you spend a lot of money to get the gun or guns to pattern the way you want. To do it right you really need to buy a few diff chokes and a few diff brands and size and #shot and try them all out till you get the pattern you want with that guns. Learn the gun, Know the gun, Be the gun! Hee Hee best of luck and happy hunting!

I would like to think Bill and Realtree is a Christian Manufacture....Family, Friends, and the Outdoors.....can't get anyomre Christian than that. I would also think David and Michael wouldn't be a close to Bill and Realtree if he wasn't!

Whitewater.com has realtree camo you can try there and Cabelas has a coat and bibs from Walls that are Realtree Hardwoods on one side and the snow camo on the other. Don't remember if the Whitewater's are fleese or not. Good luck I had a hard time finding them in stock when I wanted some.

Well, I can tell you this I live in Maryland and about 45 mins. outside of Washington DC where that bill was sign into act and the gun killing hasn't stopped there. Untill this year they weren't even allowed to own guns but that didn't stop then one second. So you tell me if he is right or wrong?!?!?

Naa, its not that bad!!! Like I said before just had to vent!!!

Well its like this its not my land. Its land that I have perission to hunt on. 8 guys plus myself have had rights to hunt this farm for years. The land owner says no one else has rights. the land is posted and we are the only ones who can hunt it. A few years ago we had our stands stolen.....we don't know for sure who took them but some of the guys said they had ideas. Then we would just ask the owner if he let anyone else hunt and he'd tell us no and to tell who ever it was to beat it. But see, this is the thing they would only go there when we weren't there. So who ya going to tell to get off the land. But we all have seen them leave there and had been told they were there by poeple that live near by, we'd find gut piles. Last year we called DNR they came asked them if they had rights to be there or not and they said they had notes.....I told DNR that they maybe fake but was told o'well they are not into finding out that as long as they had notes they were happy. The farmer says he didn't give anyone a note to hunt but us......but what to do since DNR dosen't care!!!! And the season hasn't even started and now we have had some of our cams stolen!!! As far as being threatened or feeling like a target on my back....not even close. I don't play that game!!! That is weak. Only weak people stoop to that low. When it dose I'll face it head on standin on my two feet.

:mad:I just can't take it anymore! I think I need to find something else to do these days.......cause I just can't take the BS anymore see here in Maryland we can take six bucks and 30 does. In the archery zone you can take as meny does as you want. This is no joke you can take deer till your blue in the face!!! Well, this is my problem the farm I hunt...plus the town I live in, has this group......we call them "the outlaws" that come onto everyone land and hunt, pooch, do whatever they want. When you try to turn them in to DNR they have some way of getting out of trouble. I just don't understand why they do this, there is lot of land around to hunt alot of deer to hunt and take but its like they want everything for themselfs. Well, this Monday is first day of Archery and I went to the farm last night to pull the cards on my trail cams.....well looks like "the outlaws" are now into stealing!!! I just don't under stand it with all the deer we can take here and the all the land in the area that you can hunt why is there so much breaking the law going on?!?!? It really just takes the fun out of hunting anymore!!! I don't care if I get meat to fill the freezer or a big rack buck to hang on the wall...shoot I don't care if I don't get anything just as long as I get to hunt!!! But, I guess not everyone can be like me!!! Sorry Guys and Gals just need to vent!?!?!?!:(:( p.s. Sorry the spelling and gramer it early!

I spoke with IDNR on possible poaching post...
Solocam replied to hoosierhunter's topic in Deer Hunting
What sucks about this thing is that thanks to this **** one day hunting will come to a end for us guys and gals who do it by the book! And this **** and others like him will still be doing what he (they) do best.....POACHING!!!!! Thanks to you for turning him in and thanks to everyone who turns anyone who poaches in. I know I do every chance I get. If I see some **** breaking the law I call it in!!!!!! Here in Maryland the state lets us take deer till they are coming out our ears!!! But we still have guys breaking laws left and right!!! We can take up to 6 bucks, 2 at bow, 2 at muzzleloader, 2 at firearms.....all you got to do is take a buck then kill 2 does and you can have your second buck. Its the same for each season! And to top it off you can kill oh most all the does you want to. In some parts its unlimited doe during bow and bow runs from Sept. 15 till Jan. 31. But I know, I know its about the BONE thats what they want!!!!!! Maybe we need to open a season on Poachers! With an unlimited bag limit..........naa just playin with ya! I'm sure we wouldn't have much poaching at that point?!?! Thanks again for turning the **** in. I hope he gets the book thrown at him!!!!! -
Thats right the DXT is shorter then the Switchback. The Primos bow sling comes out of the box short like it will fit a bow with an axle height of 12 inches but it stretches out. It fits the 31 inches of the Switchback and looks to have alittle more room. Steve's right you can always take it back.
-
its fits my switchback very well. I don't see why it wouldn't fit the DXT!

The 2003 6.0L were the only ones that I have heard to had problems that was the first year for the 6.0L. I had an 2004 F350 6.0L XLT Crew-cab DRW that I put about 100000 mlies on it, paid it off and traded it in for the 2008 6.4L F450. I had nothing but problems out of the 08. Thats why I own the 2007 6.0L, hadn't had any problems out of my 2004 6.0L so I went back to it. Its got about 35000 miles on her. I haven't had any problem out of that truck nor this one. I wish they were still making the 7.3L now that was a motor!!!! My 97 has about 300000 miles on her and still going! But if you are a Ford truck fan but love the Cummins motor they do make kits that you can put that motor into a Ford. About $5000 and up!!!
-
Well, lets just start by saying I am a Diesel buff not really a one truck guy. I do own two Pwerstrokes an 1997 7.3L F250 XLT Ex-Cab SRW and a 2007 6.0L F350 XLT Crew-Cab SRW and love them both. My wife owns a 2006 Chevy Duramax 3500 Crew-cab DRW loaded and that too is a great hard working all around truck. I do love the Cummins Diesels the older the better and make it a stick shift.......oh boy!!! I have been a fan of the old Dodges don't like the newer one too much. I went out and got me a new 2008 F450 6.4L Powerstroke and it was in the shop 4 months out of the 8 that I had it. So I had to get rid of it. From what I here and read in the Diesel world that if you stay away from the 08s and buy something older be it a Ford, Dodge, or a Chevy your not going to go wrong. Buy what you like, what you need, what you'll be happy with......if its got a Diesel its a Diesel!!!! Best of luck to ya!

Where at in Maryland did this take place? I live there too just want a heads up to where the area this is happening in! Sorry that this had to happen to ya! If the 935 is this years gun and has a field barrel then it can only shoot 3" and 3 1/2" shot shells only. I got a new 935 sluggster w/ the CLB on it. I had it three days and had to send it back. They have had it two weeks now and no word from Mossberg. You can see my post on "I just don't have any luck" a little more info there. Good luck to ya.
-
Hey Terry264, Yeah if i am not mistaken the Sluggsters are new for this year. I know that the 935 Mag. Sluggster is for sure new this year. Here in Maryland only the West end of the State you can use rifle everywhere else is Muzzleloader or shotgun. Thanks again and happy hunting.
-
You are 100% right you can't shoot slugs through the overbored barrel. I was shooting Sabots and Mossberg calls for them. Let start over alittle the gun I have is an Mossberg 935 Mag. Sluggster w/ an CLB. Mossberg calls for Sabot shells to be used only. Thanks all for the info and input so far. As of Wednesday A.M. the gun was shipped back to Mossberg so we wait and see.

Thanks!

Lets start by saying I mainly bow hunt for deer. I will go out during muzzleloader because I like black powder huntin. I had a Rem 870 w/ a slug barrel for the past two years. I could never get it in good pass 50 yards. So I sold it and got an Mossberg 935 mag. I know, I know, some will say that Mossberg sucks and other with say they are great. I took my new gun out this weekend to sight it in. Well, here is the problem, I got it in at 100 yards tight groups too. When it wanted to shot not miss fire...yup you read it right miss fire. I ran around 50 rounds through it and over have the time it would miss fire. I called Mossberg first thing Monday morning and they said not to use the gun anymore and to send it back. I was just wondering if any Mossberg users have heard or had anything like this happen to them? Should I ask for a new gun or have them fix it. Lets just say I am not very happy at this time might be looking at stickin with the bow and my smoke poll. Thanks for any and all info good or bad!!
