I am in SE Indiana and I have taken 40 does off of a 200 acre piece that I huntin the last 4 years. It is split by two counties that are each and 8 doe county. That doesnt count the ones taken by my buddy. There are just a boat load of deer in the area and rough land.

Very slow Sat and Sunday. I only heard 85 shots from 7-11 and usually hear 320-400. Sunday not many shots either.

I have not really been seeing any bucks chasing. I am in Switzerland/Jefferson Co. on weekends and Jackson/jennings during the week. I have hunted everyday of the season so far and just passed the 300 hour mark for this hunting season. I have seen lots of does and smaller bucks.

I use stuff called HI Yield it is in a brown bottle it was like 18 bucks for I think it was a 16 ounce bottle. Got it at the farm store. I use one ounce per gallon.

I get 85 per acre for CRP and cash rent some other farm ground for 160 per acre. So I lose money on the CRP. This year I am doing 1/3-2/3 with the grain prices this high. I will also probably not renew my CRP ground. Money is money.

I have a Browning Gold. I shoot a kicks with Nitro ammo and get 300-320 in a 10 inch circle at 40 yards. Call Ray and Nitro ammo and he will tell you what choke and shells to get.

I bought 3 dog houses from Natchez shooting supply last year to put on private land and just leave out. I think they are 54 bucks each. I am 6'5 and can stretch out in them and stand up pretty much. Easy to take down, too.

WHy did they show Jack freaking out telling Kate they have to go back and then later Jack was fine and Hurley was the one saying they had to go back.

I checked my trail cameras on Sat and had two bucks that had shed both sides and one other one that had shed one side. I was in SE Indiana.

Has anyone tired the Havalon knife. The blade is a surgical blade that you replace.

Anyone have any experience with the Moultrie Gravity feeder? I have never bought a feeder before and want one to play with. I dont want to get into batteries. I can get it for 89 bucks.

The last 5 years the same thing has happened to me. In October I see 60-100 deer per weekend. I have pictures I took this year this year with as many as 15 in one shot. Several time I had 7-10 bucks in the field at the same time. There are 3 different alfalfa fields down there that they hammer. Then bam. end of Oct. first of Nov. I go to seeing 5,6,7 8 deer and no bucks. I dont know where they go or why. The alfalfa is still green, there are plenty of accorns there. Plenty of water. Also plenty of cover. I am beginning to think it has to do with the rut.

THe Arbys in my town use to have the bottle for sale at the store. I would look also look on the Arby web site. I love Hooters. Wings that is. I buy the sauces 3 Mile and the breading flour off their web site.

Have you checked chasingame.com. They do reviews of all cameras. I was thinking of buy a cheap Wal-Mart camera to take with me in the field to check and see what was on my SD cards. I am going to try the new 99 Moultrie.

I use to until Dec. I had LASIK done and went from 20/50 and 20/40 to 20/15 in both eyes I was nearsighted and had a astigmatism.

I asked the same question to our Tech. guy here at school where I teach. He also shots weddings etc. I told him I want to take pictures out to a 100 yards or so and be able to see the rack/beard. I told him around 300 dollars. He suggest the Fugifilm S5200.

I went to Jefferson County Wed morning. I was in the blind and heard 15 different ones. I say 8-10 on the land I hunt. I had one hen come by first thing. I kept hearing them behind me so at 9 I moved to another blind over an alfalfa field. a hen and tom came in at 9:30. He didnt come close enough until 10. He jumped about 6 feet straight up when I shot him. 24 lbs. 9 inch beard. 1 inch spurs. I only heard 35 shots. Usually I will hear 60 or so opening morning.
