Hey guys, I need your help. I was very lucky to harvest a 13 point buck the last day of PA rifle season. The buck was shot in archery season by a friend who hunts on our farm. His broadhead hit high and right behind the shoulder, only going into muscle. The deer had scarred over the entry hole but when butchering, we found his broadhead and about 4 inches of arrow inside the deer. Along with about 8-10 ounches of puss infected tissue. Yes, it was nasty! Visual examination of the rest of the meat looked good, no smell or discoloration, but is this deer fit to eat??? Any input is appreciated.
