  1. canned deer meat is without a doubt the best way to eat a deer besides jerky. meat is very very tender and super tasty. just a little tip. try putting your favorite seasoning in the jar before sealing and pressure cooking. this marinates the meat while its cooking and the taste is to die for!
  2. I started using the scrape starter around mid October and put my Cuddeback over it and the next day I was getting pics of deer using my scrape. For 1 week solid i had deer using it every day. Got a picture of a nice 6 point using it at day 5. I love this stuff!! I take the bottle with me for every hunt and fresh up my scrapes every time i climb into the stand.
  3. Good luck everyone! It should be a good morning! Shoot straight and wear your safety harness!
  4. Hey guys im looking at getting one of the cuddeback expert or excite cameras. Ive found the excite for 189.00 and the expert for 250.00 online. Which would you recommend? Is there a huge difference in picture quality? Please post some pictures if you have either one of the cameras so i can compare the two! Thanks guys!!
  5. I would 100% buy Minn Kota over Motor Guide. Last summer i bent the shaft on my Motor Guide trolling motor and it took almost 3 months to have repaired at a authorized Motor Guide repair center. Their customer service is horrible!!! The shop blamed Motor Guide for the delay in shipping. Minn Kota's shafts are indestructable are gaurenteed for LIFE! After i got the trolling motor back from having the shaft fixed, 2 weeks later the speed control went out. Took another 4-5 weeks to have repaired! Needless to say, buy a Minn Kota.
  6. picture here is a picture see if this works. Thanks for the advice guys!
  7. Hey guys, I need your help. I was very lucky to harvest a 13 point buck the last day of PA rifle season. The buck was shot in archery season by a friend who hunts on our farm. His broadhead hit high and right behind the shoulder, only going into muscle. The deer had scarred over the entry hole but when butchering, we found his broadhead and about 4 inches of arrow inside the deer. Along with about 8-10 ounches of puss infected tissue. Yes, it was nasty! Visual examination of the rest of the meat looked good, no smell or discoloration, but is this deer fit to eat??? Any input is appreciated.
  8. did it morning hunt dropped cherry starburst. evening hunt dropped left glove.
  9. Alright guys im looking to buy a brand new bass boat. Im looking at the Tracker Pro Team 175TXW and the Pro Team 170TX. Its comming down to the motor and which one i can afford. What should i get, the 50 HP 2 stroke motor versus the 25 HP 4 stroke??? What are the disadvantages of the 2 stroke engine??? A 50HP 4 stroke is 2,000 dollars more, so there has to be somthing... Any input appreciated! Thank you!
  10. Re: Leupold Vs. Nikon binoculars Thanks for the help guys. I've compaired them side by side in the store and i really cant tell much difference. Its hard to judge a pair of binoculars inside a store. Does anyone know which one will get a brighter image at dusk and dawn. The 8x or the 10x??
  11. Hey guys, im looking for a nice pair of glasses around $300. Ive been trying to decide between the Nikon monarchs or the Leupold cascades. I hunt alot of farm land and need a pair that brings in the most light at prime time around the field edges. They will be mainly used for archery season. Also, what power do you guys recommend. The 8x42's or the 10x42's? Any input is appreciated. I want this to be the last pair of binocs i buy for a while! Thanks!
