Nice pictures and story, but I would have put that gal (actually kinda looks like it's got a small black cheek patch, in which case it would be a button buck) out of her misery immediately. It's the right thing to do and saves face when arguing against anti-hunters (they'd be chewing your butt right now if they saw this, I guarantee you ). Congrats on some beautiful South Dakota goats!

Good luck! Our antelope hunt (in northwestern SD) was a bust. We were hunting public land and only shot a button buck. We saw a ton of goats and several nice bucks that have yet to be harvested, but they were spooky and wouldn't let you get within 400 yards of them. I hiked several miles of Walk-in and BLM land yesterday and was even busted on a stalk in which I was crawling on my hands, knees and butt in medium tall grass. They were very skittish to say the least. Hope you have better luck than we did!

WOO-HOO!!! :D:D Way to go, Tim! I completely forgot you were out there hunting until I saw Richard and Jeremy mentioned your hunt on facebook five minutes ago. Alright, Tim!

Alright! Way to go, guys! We seem to be having issues with geese lately; it's just been so clear and sunny that we can't get away with anything.

The only point my Wild got in the preseason was a shootout loss to the Jackets that they should have won in regular play. I've got a feeling it's gonna be a long season.
