  1. I shoot and love the Easton ST Axis 340's. With your shorter draw length and 60# draw you could probably shoot either the 340's or the 400's.
  2. You should remember both numbers cause those most will usually ask what it grossed when you tell them a net score. Bottom line is though, that the Net score is what matters in all circles of record books. I and all my buddies usually talk in terms of net just cause you can't kill a Gross Booner!!!! Well I guess you can but not in terms of score
  3. Savage ML10-II is a great gun. Esecially if smokeless powder is legal in your state you can't go wrong with the Savage. Easiest cleaning (basically none) ML on the market. I love mine and would never shoot any other ML. You owe it to yourself to at least check it out.
  4. Realtree is great for this exact purpose. The unmentionable M.O. brand is way too dark and I think leads to the situation you are describing. The open patterns of Realtree, especially the new AP and APG is nice and open and light in colors.
  5. Lacross Alpha Burly. Get the 1500gram models and you won't be sorry. I haven't worn more than 1 pair of regular socks this year and my feet haven't gotten cold once. I also have a pair of these is 800gram for the early season. Most comfortable pair of boots I have ever owned. I've been to the woods 65+ times this year and I couldn't think of anything else I would rather have on my feet.
  6. What do you think the Nuge's reply would be to al' Zambo here? Something tells me it would be pretty blunt. There is something to be gained from this post imo. The issue of quality photos as has already been brought up is something that gets me. Everybody benefits from taking great pictures. You can never go back and take better pictures after the fact. Take the time and make sure you capture images that you would be proud to display for years to come.
  7. 53 trips on the year and the score is.......Bownarow 1, Big Bucks 52. Those does have been getting free passes all year but as soon as I put down another nice buck they had better watch out!
  8. Saw a couple 3.5 year old 8 pointers yesterday and this morning but let them go. They both would have scored around 130" or so. Climbing a tree this afternoon for hunt #44 of the season. Maybe that's a lucky number. Bucks were running does hard yesterday but it seemed a little calmer this morning. Hopefully they'll pick back up this evening. Continued good luck everybody. Let's wack some big ones!
  9. Hey! That bottom picture is me. Not sure how they got out on the internet so fast but I guess it is what it is. bowtech is right. The bottom two pictures are the sheds from last year.
  10. Congrats on the doe! I'll be heading out this afternoon for hunt #27. Should start seeing more bucks this weekend. Hopefully I can upgrade my 9 score and help lead this team to victory. All we need is for one of us to kill a nice big non-typical and we can take this thing. Or how about every body just wack themselves a nice 10 pointer and I think we'll take it as well. Gotta have dreams right?!
  11. If smokeless is legal in your state go with the savage ML-II. Cheaper, cleaner, and easier to shoot and mess with. Plus it shoots better IMO than any of the TC's.
  12. This is correct. Actually it netted 198 1/8. Grossed at 210 0/8.
  13. Checked that buck out on Thursday night. Official green score is 210 0/8 gross and 198 1/8 net. It was definitely a giant. This thing filled up the entire back of his pickup.
  14. The big buck posted in the Bowhunting forum under Southern Illinois monster was killed less than a half mile from the property I hunt. I think I'm headed to see it and hopefully put a tape on him tonight. I'll give any updates I get tomorrow.
