  1. Just bought a polaris sportsman 800 with a composite front rack that opens up to storage. There are no metal bars on the front to hook a bow/gun rack that I am used too. Anyone know of ideas of one or if they make one that will hook to the composite, even if drilling is neccesary.

  5. I just checked the application deadline in kansas and realized that it is may 31. I never applied for a kansas licence so I would like to get a preference point for the 2008 season. Since it is only a few days away i figured I would ask everyone what units should I apply in. I will be bowhunting so I would like to hunt areas with lots of ag and wooded areas that obviously hold big bucks. Is there one unit that is anyones favorite. I will drive from pa so i was thinking the eastern side of the state but any units can be reached if needed. Thanks for any suggestions.

  7. Re: biologic thanks dogdoc I talked to a mossyoak consultant today and he said it should be alright but im not to sure about his knowledge. 8. Has anyone ever tried biologics green patch plus. Planted about 2 acres today even though it says to plant in the fall. I added some chicory and alfalfa to the mix. Whats everyones thoughts on the product and did I make a big mistake planting today.
  9. Re: planting this spring What type of equipment is needed to plant the rr beans. Also, what about oats and wheats
  10. I am also trying to figure out what to plant. I will be planting 2 acres that will probably be a warm season plot since it is in the open and I would expect deer not to use much during the day. It is a pasture that is next to horse pastures but deer use at night already. I also will have a couple smaller hunting plots and maybe one other warm season spot. My first question is since they are new plots, should I plant all anuals this year and let the lime kick in, then replant next year. Also, I've been reading that it might be a good idea to spray and till all summer then plant in late augustor early september. I would really like to get something down for the summer. The first spot I talked about I tried to plant last year but the grass regrew and over took the biologic. What should I do.
  11. Got a winchest model 70 325 wsm for christmas and now would like to put a scope on it. Im going to use the gun to deer hunt when I long trajectory is needed and to hunt other big game when the time comes. A long range scope is needed. I pland to spend around five hundred but a little more can be spent if needed. Any suggestions on the power and types that I should investigate.
  12. Re: equipment reccomendations INBowhunter: Is the wheel disc the type that more weight can be added on top of it and does not connect to the three point hitch?
  13. Re: equipment reccomendations would this be the best tool to buy that wont break the bank or any other opinions before buying
  14. Im rather new to planting food plots but I tried last year for th first time. The area i am located in in pa is rocky but I feal is feasable. The are farms near the area and on the same ridgelines that I plan to plant. Last year I rented a roto till from a local equipment rental that worked pretty good. However, I would like to buy buy own equipent that will attatch to a 50 hp tractor. I was thinking of a disc. Is a disc going to break throug the top layer and turn up th soil enough for planting. I tried a plow once and found it to go to deep and reached the rocks.
