This is my first year to be a resident in CO and I drew an archery elk tag in units 7,8,9,19,191. Does anyone have any advice for a rookie elk hunter who is use to hunting whiteails? Thanks!

Probably could of had some experience if the draw would have worked out right....guess I will just have to settle for CO Elk and Mulies. May have to go to KS too and pay you back. Good luck, dont settle for anything under 150".

Does anyone know of any good shooting ranges in the Denver metro area? Preferably south Denver since I live in Castle Rock. I have found some online but they dont really have any reviews. Thanks.

Has anyone heard if there are any left deer tags in KS this year?

I have my heart set on a new mathews...but I can not decided which one to go with. I have heard many good things about the Switchback XT over the past couple of years and I know that the DXT is new but was wondering how it was comparing with the Switchback??????

Here is a couple of pics of my deer from this past rifle season in KS. He was shot opening day at 3:11 PM...that is the last doe he will be chasing. He scored 144 5/8 with 12 points and dressed out at 225 lbs. He is my biggest to date!!!

I got my KS tag too, last year was my first time to go up there and i wouldnt miss it for anything!!! Does anyone ever go up there for the early muzzleloader season?

i've used rice bran and seen deer in it...but i was also wondering if people use it in feeders or how they use it????

the kryptik is a nice bow...i work at basspro in broken arrow in the hunting department and the only way you can get a discount on any bow is if you work in that department and pro plan it. i just purchased the black ice by diamond and got one heck of a discount. so if your able to get a pro plan on one shoot any of the others including the illusion, firestorm x, black ice, and any other one before you get one

The black ice is great...i have them at work (bass pro) and have shot them more than once. I plan on getting one before the end of the summer.

Re: Mojo have had one for about 5 years now...great for early season then once the birds become smarter they wont decoy at all if they see one. my rule of thumb here in Oklahoma is the first season im not caught without it, and in the second season you wont catch me with it. but in my opinion its worth the money because they will land almost on top of it before they become educated

Our plan for this hunt didnt pan out as planned...we wanted to set up in a wheat field, but i guess someone else got permission too. We ended up on a big pond adjacent to the field with 10 ducks and 4 honkers. The picture isnt that great b/c a cold front had came through and we weren't prepared so we were ready to leave.

Re: Finished the season with a bang... Way to end on a good note...we were trying to hunt on a field on our last day, but someone was there? we ended up on a pond and did pretty good. cant cant wait till next season though, i already have big plans

Here's my share of a three man limit...we ended up with 15 greenheads, 1 gadwall, and 2 ringnecks!! I dont think that i had ever seen so many mallards, they were even dropping in when we were picking up the dekes.

Re: how many of you? I have blown a dead meat and wasnt to terribly fond of it. I work at Bass Pro and have blown alot of calls and I am a big fan of RNT. The short barrel is my favorite and I also have an RNT original that sounds good when its tuned right. Just try 'em before you buy 'em
